Detailed Reviews
What an absolutely winner! Not only a very stylish guesthouse with attention to detail in the interior decoration, but a restaurant with loads of ambience, mouth watering dishes well presented and colourful, but lovely cutlery and crockery. The ostrich steak in red wine sauce was succulent.. and the hostess' choc mousse desert was the best I've ever tasted! The rooms are elegantly furnished...the birds waking us up in the morning and the magic silence of the Little Karoo makes this an absolutely winner..in the summer, there is a lovely swimming pool and shady trees. Truly, a gem of a place.

+1
I came to Oudtshoorn for a cycling race and stayed at Thylitshia. It was honestly one of the most beautiful guest houses I’ve ever been to.
The rooms were very clean with some cute little art pieces that gave it a homely feel.
The rooms had air conditioning which was a life saver because I went in summer and there was also a small pool.
The food was incredible and the ostrich steak Lollies cooked me for supper was the best steak I’ve ever eaten in my life.
I will most definitely stay there again.

Great place to stay. From the welcome on hhe huge stoep by the 2 huge, fat cats to the magic breakfasts. You can also arrange for dinner to be prepared as well - a tad pricey but absolutely delicious!!
The wifi is pretty good - when there is no loadshedding. Unfortunately I had loadshedding at all the times I needed to work!
The room was large with a TV - didn't check what channels were available but probably only 20 soccer channels and no cricket or rugby as is standard in all BnBs! A sad reality as must establishments don't want the additional costs.
The fridge is quite large and more than adequate for a couple of nights.

Very nice place, peaceful and beautiful location and top service. We stayed in a family room, 2 connected rooms, which was perfect for us and the kids. The owner and staff were very friendly and gave a great service, including washing our car

We had a wonderful time with Lollies, Elriza and their daughter Maryka at this idyllic getaway. The main house is historic Karoo chic with the most intimate touches and the rooms are bright, peaceful and so comfortable. Not to mention the lovely garden and pool side. Here guests are treated like family. The food alone is worth returning for. Thank you for sharing your little piece of magic with us, it was unforgettable.

We enjoyed our 6 night stay. The Guest House is lovely with beautiful South African farmstyle touches everywhere. Beautiful views from our patio. Super friendly, thoughtful and engaging host and staff. The breakfast menu is fixed, no buffet, not easy if you're on a long stay like ours. Dinner is optional but well worth it! Delicious!!
Wir hatten eine sehr nette Aufenthalt. H&R.

The guest house is in a very quite and safe area close to town and the popular ostrich farms. It is a beautiful place if you want to take your family for a holiday to experience the amazing tourist attractions of Oudtshoorn. The guest house has a very beautiful antique interior decoration items with a very rich history about the place and the family. It is indeed a home away from home. We will definitely visit again in the near future.

Thylitshia Villa Country Guesthouse is a very lovely place to stay. Lollies is a great host and tended to our every need, including where to go, where to eat, cautions about weather effect on certain destinations, and more. The room was so cosy and comfortable, we were dissapointed that we only stayed for one night. The food was excellent! Lollies served his famous ostrich fillet with red wine sauce, and it was cooked perfectly. The breakfast was delicious and the coffee extremely good! Highly recommended!

From arriving till I left the owners made me feel welcome and at home. The room was spacious and very clean with nice decor. The food was very good I give it a Three Michelin Star rating. Location is very peaceful and calm, just wat you need to get away from the busy city life. Will most definitely stay here again in the future. Best vacation accommodation I had in a long time. Thanks for everything Thylitshia!
