The speciality of this place is definitely the owner's very welcoming attention and friendly service. They try their very best in accommodating the guests (we even got some firewood started by them to have a braai!). The rooms are relatively clean but very, very basic (outdated even). It reminds me of an old humble home that the owners are renting out for a little income. The price is very reasonable especially considering that a large family can lodge in. I would say it is an okay place just to stay and relax before hitting the roads again.

The rooms were very old and dated deco . Very friendly and helpful owners The oven didn't work so the owner heated the food I had bought for dinner as I assumed I would have a working kitchen. Lovely garden area and you could seat outside to eat.

We stayed Swartberger Lodge for 2 nights on the way to Cape Town from Port Elizabeth. The deco is a bit outdated but space, location and friendly, helpful hosts make this place an ideal family stay. We enjoyed staying there. The Town is beautiful, easy access to all the attractions, shops and restaurAnts. Value for money can not be beaten.

What a lovely place we have just visited! Very comfortable, spacious and private accommodation with a sparkling pool and everything that we needed to make our stay memorable and enjoyable. Our hosts were so friendly, kind and helpful and made us feel at home right away. Perfect accommodation for those wishing to see the sights in and around Oudtshoorn...and lovely to come back to after a hectic day of sight seeing!

Stopped over for 2 nights on our way to the Eastern Cape. Brilliant facilities and friendly hosts. Felt like we were at home! Hosts went beyond what was required when we arrived with a sick child. Was really appreciated.

This is a lovely, home-like setting with a series of accommodations all set with maximum privacy in a serene garden setting. Mari and Flokkie are delightful and very helpful hosts who are eager to share their knowledge of the area. Our flat was very well equipped and the internet was vey fast! All in all, a delightful stay at a very economical rate.

Absolutely wonderful stay in the lodge. Perfect for a family visit if visiting Oudtshoorn to visit all the attractions. Clean and comfortable, with a lovely outside area for braais, late dinners and drinks. Refreshing pool after a hot day of exploring. Friendly owners who were always there to help. Perfect

Lovely welcoming from the lovely and helpful hosts. Nice rooms, though they are a bit outdated. Situated a few minutes walk from the centre of Oudtshoorn. All kitchen facilities available and enough beds for a larger family. Private bbq area and, of course, a swimming pool to cool down in!
