Detailed Reviews
This is a beautiful modern small boutique Hotel in the charming area of Oudtshorn. The team were very approachable and helped with early check on of baggage and proving advice on the local areas The rooms were very well appointed, large and had all the amenities including complimentary cold beverages. Breakfast service was excellent with a great choice and well cooked .

The staff couldn't have been more welcoming & were there to cater for every need. Beautiful room suite & on-suite bathroom. Furnishings kitted out with all the luxuries you would expect, including a lovely selection of cool mini bar drinks. Great variety for breakfast in the most relaxed of surroundings. Excellent facilities, including a stunning infinity pool & gym. Back-up inverter/generator is a big plus during load shedding.

High expectations but the room disappointed on many levels - for a 5 star our bathroom was a narrow add on - you could almost shower and reach the hand basin over the toilet at the same time . The hanger railing was so high that I could not reach them at all. We had access to ten tv channels all of which were exceptionally poor. The fridge and bed side lamps had not been plugged so the room was not ready for us. There was no bottled water in the fridge. The lack of Aircon during the night made sleeping impossible. One would think that a five star boutique would have a range of beverages on offer - they had one brand of beer and one brand of gin. When comparing to four star establishments we stayed in prior and after this establishment we can honestly say that it’s not worth it

What an amazing place! I don't think I can find the appropriate words to explain how awesome Sonas Boutique Guest House is. From the moment of arrival till departure you are great with smiles, care and utmost attention to details. What a magnificent guest house - I have travelled the world 4 times, been to more than 100 countries, more than 289 establishments and this one ranks top notch! Beautiful rooms, clean, modern and sophisticated but not over the top! Scenery that bewilders the mind and fills the heart, pool and an outside Jacuzzi - beautiful lounge where we sat chatting with exceptional wine poured ... thank you for filling our Oudtshoorn visit with amazing comfort, beautiful photos and OUTSTANDING HOSPITALITY!

Don't think twice: book this guest house if you're in Oudtshoorn. And make it 2 nights. Amazing service, super friendly hosts with a great passion for people and sense of what takes to be hospitable, beautifully decorated house and terrace. Truly amazing. We really enjoyed our stay to the max and felt spoilt by our hosts in many ways. Breakfast just superb. Weighly recommend this place !

Myself and my husband stayed here for one night as part of a self drive holiday and it really is as good as it looks in the pictures! It’s an intimate guesthouse with incredible interiors, the attention to detail is really fantastic with everything you would expect from a luxury hotel. The service was great too - we enjoyed chatting with the owner and felt the service was personal and attentive. There is an amazing infinity pool and jacuzzi with stunning views.
The guesthouse is in a quiet residential area, a few mins drive from the main town - the owner recommended some local restaurants and mentioned that a few of them have shuttles so will pick you up, although we didn’t make use of this as we were happy to drive to dinner.
Fantastic breakfast too - one of the best on our holiday as the dishes are a bit different to your usual full English. We felt so relaxed and wish we could have stayed longer!

I stayed at Sonas with a friend. To say we were blown away by the house and the beautiful surroundings would be an understatement. Well located for the sites and activities in Oudtshoorn, it is the most wonderful haven to relax in. The hosts make sure your stay is extra special, creating the ultimate 5 star stay. Highly recommended.

Many thanks for your kind words. It was great to have a 'slice' of UK and Belgium stay at Sonas! You certainly both made the most of it in a short space of time and we really enjoyed your company and seeing you have lots of fun. In the hope that we will meet you and your friends again soon. All the very best for now.

I recently stayed at Sonas with friends from South Africa. New to the market, the premises is stunning, contemporary with great attention to detail, in a fantastic location, with breathtaking mountain views, yet just a few minutes drive from town. We were quite simply treated royally throughout our stay. I enjoyed soaking up a tan on the pool loungers, and swimming in the stunning infinity pool (which is seriously big - see the pictures!), in between enjoying the 'mandatory' dips for relaxation in the jacuzzi. I even made time to check out the superbly equipped Gym, very unlike me while on holiday! After a gourmet buffet & Ã la carte breakfast, we relished great tourist attractions during our stay, including Cango Caves, Cango Wildlife Ranch, a drive up the Swartberg Mountains, & lovely strolls along the spectacular Wilderness & Victoria bay beaches. In the evenings, we chilled out on the stunning terraces, watching the sunset, and also enjoyed some of the local restaurants for scrumptious food. I slept like a baby in the 'Superior King Suite' (aptly named!), which was a luxurious haven with excellent amenities. This was my first time to the Western Cape. We look forward to another trip soon, as there is so much left to see. A huge thank you for such a memorable stay.

I hope we will see you back in South Africa again soon and wish you all the very best in the meantime. Best wishes, Rayno
