Upon arrival at Pictures Boutique Hotel, we were greeted by the most friendly and professional staff, after being showed to our rooms we were impressed by the small details, neatness and cleanliness of the rooms and extra bed set out for our 2-year old. Staff was friendly and polite, well dressed and very professional. The stunning pool was a hit for our daughter and the delicious food and top quality wine ended our evening on a perfect note. We were served a lovely buffet breakfast that catered to all of our dietary requirements and our morning coffee was bliss. Gardens are well looked after, and the interior of the hotel is classy and elegant. We had a wonderful stay, we were treated so professionally, had the most comfortable beds and were treated with delectable food! It is definitely worth every cent spent.

We stayed for over a month on the Garden Route, the Wine Route and the Cederberg region; we enjoyed the different hotels there but the Picture Guest House will remain a fantastic address; the services are high-end in the same way as other accommodations that we have appreciated but here you have the feeling of being at home; We were welcomed by Eric who during our 4-night stay always made sure that we lacked nothing! At all times, the room and kitchen staff not only took care of our needs but also ensured our well-being... In our memories, in addition to the services offered, we will especially remember the name of a competent, qualified, professional but above all very attentive person, who is dear to us, even if we only knew him too briefly: Eric. We had a lovely greeting from Eric, the manager, and all the staff were friendly. The rooms were lovely and the pool area was fun with the giraffe having a drink. Unfortunately, no one has trained the breakfast staff, or Eric, on food allergies and in this day and age that is utterly unacceptable. I told the waitress that I am allergic to dairy, so milk, cream, butter and cheese, and then she asked if I'm OK with bacon and mushrooms! That completely floored me. I also asked for peppermint tea and was given green tea with peppermint flavour. Annoyingly, I'm also very allergic to caffeine, so I spent a very unpleasant time in my room with the sweats and shaking. The owner, it's his responsibility, needs to conduct training on this sort of thing immediately.

We have stayed at Pictures Boutique Hotel late 2023 last year, thus we just had to return to this most luxuries property. When we planned our trip my wife led me no other chose than to book with them again. The breakfast is out of this world, wide variety my wife is lactose intolerant and they went above and beyond to accommodate her. We stayed in the Luxury room and the bed and quality of lining was spectacular. We also had the 3 course dinner option for all 3 evenings of our stay, each dish was well planned and prepared for us. All the ingredients were fresh and perfectly seasoned. The weather was perfect and we could roam the town and lounge late afternoon around the pool. Mr Eric attending to our every move made our stay FANTASTIC.

We would like to share our impression of Pictures Guest House, giving it a rating of two out of five stars. Unfortunately, our experience at this guest house was quite disappointing.
On the day of departure the entrance area of the guest house was dangerously slippery. My partner had a severe fall in the entrance area as there was no slip protection in place and it was raining.
It was very concerning that no one asked about my well-being after the incident, even though the accident was observed by the staff and Mr Eric, the manager.
Furthermore the mattress in our room was partially worn out and uncomfortable. It was evident that it needed to be replaced.
Furthermore, the dinner at Pictures Guest House was overpriced, particularly the vegetarian option was not available. The wine prices were exorbitant, with a 400% markup from the purchase price. We have never encountered such high prices for food and beverages during my previous stays at other accommodations or restaurants here.
The overall price-performance ratio at Pictures Guest House did not meet our expectations. Considering the issues mentioned above, the value for money was simply not satisfactory.
Additionally, there were numerous rules and restrictions imposed on guests, which felt excessive and bordering on being patronizing.
On a positive note, we must mention that the reception by Erik was very friendly and welcoming. However, the shortcomings and negative experiences outweighed this positive aspect.
In conclusion, we cannot recommend Pictures Guest House and we will not be returning in the future.

We visited Pictures Boutique Hotel in Oudtshoorn and it is an absolute GEM!! this is top class for a beautiful small town like Oudtshoorn. The wi-fi signal is so good we could communicated back home with ease. The Boutique Hotel is perfectly situated. We had dinner at the establishment and we were more than impressed by the taste of the food that came out of the kitchen. It was amazing. The bedding on the beds are Egyptian cotton. We felt like royalty. We will most definitely return.

Stayed three nights at Pictures Guesthouse during a family trip. The place is very cosy and we really enjoyed our stay. Eric was very supportive and even build special ramps for us as we were travelling with a disabled person. Breakfast was also great and we had a wonderful diner as well.
