Lagoona Inn is ideally situated in the picturesque town of Knysna in the Garden Route, South Africa. The ambiance is a unique international blend of superb hospitality, cuisine and service. Every one of our bedrooms and apartments enjoys spectacular panoramic views of the mysterious beauty of Knysna. Accommodation is modern, en-suite, with sliding doors and sun shutters which open onto your private balcony or garden frontage.
We liked the owners, they were so friendly and helpful. Alison and Gunter are awesome people. The breakfast was out of this world, we had such a beautiful view, we enjoyed the chats everyday, and slept like babies. It is an old place, but beautiful. Alison hope you enjoyed your birthday on the 27th of Dec, heheh. Thanks for everything.

I spent two nights at Lagoona Inn as a SA National Tourist Guide with 22 Austrian tourists. Seeing as none complained, I must assume they were satisfied. I returned with my family to spend two weeks there in December. We stayed in a family suite which was very spacious and comfortable with the pool outside our front door. The decor/fittings in the rooms are basic and dated but very clean and perfectly maintained with the wooden window shutterings giving a mediterranean feel. Upstairs rooms have lagoon views. Location is good, very near the Eastern heads lookout and leisure Isle and near enough to the waterfront. The pool is small but pristinely clean. Enjoying a beer sitting on the step on a hot day is highly recommended. The best thing about Lagoona Inn is its affordability/value for money. Being owner managed by Allison and Gunther assures excellent service and the breakfast serving staff are very courteos. Gunther's self-made breakfasts with his Austrian apple and other fruit fritters with fruit salad, lots of yogurt and generous portions and nice fresh strong coffeesare were always excellently tasty and enjoyable. What we really enjoyed probably the most is Allison and Gunther's friendly, interesting and entertaining company especially Gunther's understated but wonderful sense of humour. All in all I would strongly recomment Lagoona Inn to families, business people and especially tourist groups, particularly those seeking outstanding value for money accomodation. …

Visited lagoona inn for one night on a long trip with 13 in the group. The staff were extremely friendly to all of us and made us most welcome. We were in the annexe as we are a large group and the rooms were rather out dated in decor but as staying only one night i was quite happy, my room doors opened out to the garden area. The highlight of the stay was the great breakfast, all freshly cooked and the apple fritters were just gorgeous!!

I spent two weeks here while on business, I found the rooms to be neat, tidy and clean, well maintained. Bedding was soft and fluffy. Ample space, the hosts are amazing, incredible friendly and willing to help. Every day my room was cleaned and organized. I would highly recommend it.

We stayed here during our round-trip through south Africa. The hotel is kind of outdated. Small beds and cold rooms. The rooms are quiet different some are a lot bigger then others. But overall not the best place we've stayed in

I am a Tour Operator, DJ Tours & Safaris. This is about the fifth time I am bringing a School Group here form Wiedtal Gymnasium in Germany. As usual the accommodation and meals were superb and enjoyed by the whole group. One of them made the comment that this was the best meal they have had, since being in South Africa. So Gunter, thanks for this!! Alison always goes out of her way to make our short stay here memorable. Next time we will stay here for 2 nights. So many thanks and congratulations on a fine place of accommodation! Dirk Joubert

The staff was really nice. The room was very clean, however the hotel has seen better times. The interior looks a bit old and some lamps did not work. The breakfast was tasty, although the choice was rather limited.
