This was a part of a leisurely trip along the Garden Route and we could not have asked for more. A fantastic location with great outlook. It was wonderfully quiet and some great walks available. The owner was able to make some great suggestions of where to have dinner and we selected Blend restaurant which was conveniently close and offered a great meal and evening out. The Breakfast served at the house was just what we wanted and at our convenience so no rushing to make a deadline. Our room was spacious and very comfortable

Mike, our host was professional, friendly, kind and very helpful. We spent a wonderful 5 nights on Leisure Isle and had great views of the Knysna Lagoon and Heads from our pristine and spacious honeymoon suite. For swimming we had a choice of 2 swimming pools and, obviously, a dip in the clear sea water right across the road from the House. Step out of the house left or right to enjoy lovely walks. Peaceful and well positioned to be able to enjoy the nearby travel attractions.

Staying at Bollard Bay House was just awesome. Mike is such a gracious host and made us feel like family. We stayed in a double room with a sea view. Extra large comfy bed. Large bathroom with a bath and shower. Tea making facilities and small fridge. Beautiful view on the lagoon and 2 sparkling pools to enjoy. Breakfast was plentiful and well prepared. Would definitely stay at Bollard Bay House again.

Staying at Bollard Bay House was a last minute decision. Just after lock down in South Africa and the foreign tourists gone the choice for accommodation is huge. Our gut feeling directed us to Bollard Bay House and bingo – one of the best B&B:s I have stayed in in a long time! Mike must be the perfect host and even before we entered the house we felt at home. Then he upgraded us and we felt even more at home in the fantastic, big 2 bed room family suite with a view to die for. The house is perfectly placed to see the Knysna Bay and the narrow, dramatic strait that leads into it. After a delicious breakfast we even took a dip in one of the two pools before heading out. Our two nights passed way to fast!

We arrived a little early for our check in but were greeted by Sarah in a very friendly and bright manner. Our room was ready so she showed us to it and we were blown away by the space and it's light and airy contemporary feel. We had a room at the rear of the property, overlooking one of the pools, in the garden, and felt a sense of peace and well being. Sarah spoke to us at length about the options open to us to visit places and where to eat. She even recommended her hairdresser to my wife who was desperate for an appointment. The setting of Bollard Bay House could not be more picturesque, set facing the water on an island of exceptional properties. Breakfasts were served principally by Michael either on the patio overlooking the rear pool or if the weather was not so good,…

The B&B is on the beach front and has a big swimming pool and comfortable sunbeds at the front. Our room was very comfortable and overlooked the swimming pool at the back. Bed very comfortable and sheets so luxurious. Loved the big fluffy towels. The breakfast was wonderful with a freshly prepared fruit salad - a different one each morning. The yoghurt and muesli was the best we had on our trip to South Africa. Also you can have a cooked breakfast if you like. The dining room was light and airy with fresh flowers on the tables. Mike and Sarah are very hospitable hosts and give lots of information regarding surrounding area and best restaurants to visit. There is a bar area with an honesty box, which is handy. :0)

This is as good as it gets - stunning location over Indian Ocean lagoon, lovely rooms, two pools, superb breakfast, perfect host. Ideal location on the island for walks, safe swimming and very close to the small town and its waterfront. We were due to stay a day, stayed three. So, so relaxing.....

Michael & Sarah are the best hosts in any guest house we stay at. The welcome feel here is like home from home. Clean, great rooms, the most beautiful setting and wonderful breakfasts. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in this town.

We had a wonderful time at Bollard Bay House. It's located at a stunnig beach at the lagoon. The perfect stay for some easy going days. The hosts are really kind, nice and so heartfelt. We enjoyed it very much and will come back again.

Lovely guesthouse to stay in with our little one. Had a nice pool and great view of the lagoon as it was just across the small road. Excellent breakfast and lovely owners/ hosts too. Very clean place.
