The B&B is on the beach front and has a big swimming pool and comfortable sunbeds at the front. Our room was very comfortable and overlooked the swimming pool at the back. Bed very comfortable and sheets so luxurious. Loved the big fluffy towels. The breakfast was wonderful with a freshly prepared fruit salad - a different one each morning. The yoghurt and muesli was the best we had on our trip to South Africa. Also you can have a cooked breakfast if you like. The dining room was light and airy with fresh flowers on the tables. Mike and Sarah are very hospitable hosts and give lots of information regarding surrounding area and best restaurants to visit. There is a bar area with an honesty box, which is handy. :0)

We arrived a little early for our check in but were greeted by Sarah in a very friendly and bright manner. Our room was ready so she showed us to it and we were blown away by the space and it's light and airy contemporary feel. We had a room at the rear of the property, overlooking one of the pools, in the garden, and felt a sense of peace and well being. Sarah spoke to us at length about the options open to us to visit places and where to eat. She even recommended her hairdresser to my wife who was desperate for an appointment.
The setting of Bollard Bay House could not be more picturesque, set facing the water on an island of exceptional properties.
Breakfasts were served principally by Michael either on the patio overlooking the rear pool or if the weather was not so good, inside in the dining area.
There is a large, well stocked honesty bar which had the best selection and prices that I saw on the whole month long South African trip.
Bollard Bay House will certainly be on our itinerary next time we visit Knysner.
Michael and Sarah are tremendous hosts who are also genuinely nice people.

Mike, our host was professional, friendly, kind and very helpful. We spent a wonderful 5 nights on Leisure Isle and had great views of the Knysna Lagoon and Heads from our pristine and spacious honeymoon suite. For swimming we had a choice of 2 swimming pools and, obviously, a
dip in the clear sea water right across the road from the House. Step out of the house left or right to enjoy lovely walks. Peaceful and well positioned to be able to enjoy the nearby travel attractions.

Had the pleasure of being a guest at this well appointed, well equipped B&B. Right on the Knysna lagoon on Leisure isle.
Felt very spoilt and most comfortable. Whilst being very central to all amenities and sites we were quite content to stay in and enjoy the B&B, the pool area which gives a first hand view of all activities on the lagoon! Just stunning!

Staying at Bollard Bay House was a last minute decision. Just after lock down in South Africa and the foreign tourists gone the choice for accommodation is huge. Our gut feeling directed us to Bollard Bay House and bingo – one of the best B&B:s I have stayed in in a long time!
Mike must be the perfect host and even before we entered the house we felt at home. Then he upgraded us and we felt even more at home in the fantastic, big 2 bed room family suite with a view to die for. The house is perfectly placed to see the Knysna Bay and the narrow, dramatic strait that leads into it.
After a delicious breakfast we even took a dip in one of the two pools before heading out. Our two nights passed way to fast!

This was a part of a leisurely trip along the Garden Route and we could not have asked for more. A fantastic location with great outlook. It was wonderfully quiet and some great walks available. The owner was able to make some great suggestions of where to have dinner and we selected Blend restaurant which was conveniently close and offered a great meal and evening out. The Breakfast served at the house was just what we wanted and at our convenience so no rushing to make a deadline. Our room was spacious and very comfortable

Liked · I am pleased to write my review and also join all the good reviews about Bollard Bay House. Mike is a wonderful host and a very kind person. Only a person with a kind heart could create such beauty, convenience and comfort for his guests. Everything here is thought out to the smallest detail. The hotel rooms are in light colors and tastefully furnished. Every item is pleasing to the eye. The bed, pillows and linens are very nice. Very good daytime and evening lighting. There is no need for air conditioning here as there is good air circulation in the room and there is a ceiling fan. For those traveling in the cold season, floor heating is provided. The wardrobe is very roomy and fits beautifully into the interior. Plenty of hangers for clothes, a safe and a full-length mirror inside. There is a small but very convenient refrigerator, a set for making tea and coffee (replenished every day), natural cream, not powder. The bathroom is large and bright with a comfortable shower, two sinks and a bathtub. Lots of towels. Nice toiletries. Breakfast in a beautiful place by the pool, tasty and filling, with a variety of fruits and berries. The area is very beautiful. There are two swimming pools. One overlooking the lagoon, the other in a picturesque garden with beautiful tropical plants. Mike gave good recommendations for visiting interesting and beautiful places. The place where Bollard Bay House is located is very picturesque, with a beautiful view of the lagoon and mountains, with a good sandy beach, and can be recommended for a long beach holiday. Mike, thank you for a wonderful stay. We wish you all the best with all our hearts.

Mike is a lovely host and made our stay very comfortable. Leisure Isle is a hidden gem and we thoroughly enjoyed its relaxed atmosphere and wonderful scenery. Bollard Bay House is in a great location on the isle and everywhere seems to be an easy walk. We have already made our reservation for next year!

We had a fantastic 2 night stay. The location is superb - looking out over the bay and well placed for exploring the local area for hikes and beaches. The room and sitting areas are spacious and light and the swimming pool and loungers on the deck are lovely. The breakfasts set you up for the rest of the day - delicious variety.
Mike is a excellent host - very friendly ,gave us lots of information about the area, nothing was too much trouble.
