We loved our time at Waterfront Lodge. A lovely welcome from Gavin and Marion to their wonderful guest house and it’s stunning scenery. We were made to feel at home and both were always happy to help. Only a short drive to Knysna Waterfront, ideal location to go out and explore from. Only wish we had more time there. Well it is just stunning - Marion and Gavin the owners got out their way to help and ensure you have the best stay. The lodge is beautiful and very spacious. Stunning views over the lagoon so a great location to relax and unwind. Short drive to the waterfront with lovely restaurants and so beautiful areas to explore especially Buffels Bay and Elephant Park - excellent breakfast

It was a wonderful experience for our family. Absolutely amazing staff service that bend over backwards for you, great quality rooms. Surprising breakfast which is more like a brunch. Eggs and bacon cooked perfectly. Beatiful decorated, felt like something from a movie.

We had a very pleasant lunch on the waterfront, overlooking the Vaal river. Dishes we ordered were Chicken burger (chicken breast on a bun with pineapple and more), T-bone steak with chips (fries in American English), and a regular beef burger with chips and mozzarella cheese. Everything was good. Service is a bit slow but at least that usually means that food is cooked fresh!

We had a wonderful and restful stay at this picturesque and tranquil B&B. Our hosts were very friendly, attentive and accommodating, and the breakfasts each morning were sublime. We will definitely be back next time we're in Knysna. Highly recommend!

Exceptional service received from Marion and Gavin. We would highly recommend The Waterfront Lodge in Knysna for your stay. Be it a long stay or just a stop over for a night. This was our second visit as a family and we will continue to support Gavin and Marion when ever we are passing through. We were greeted with a warm welcome and amazing hospitality. Our stay made us feel like we were actually at home. They were extremely helpful in assisting us with making our stay comfortable, by arranging a camp cot and high chair for our little one. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Everything was organized, clean and neat. The breakfast was filling and delicious. Thank you again for the beautiful experience. Marion was super helpful and welcoming, she couldn't do enough to help us make the most of our 2 night stay in Knysna. When she spotted my husband opening birthday cards on the patio outside our room (after he'd got up early on the morning of his 60th birthday to see the sun-rise over the lagoon at the end of the garden) she was disappointed that I'd not told her it was his birthday as she would have made a cake. As we had breakfast she and a couple of staff members came and sang Happy Birthday to him, sprinkled glittery greetings and gave him a box of chocolates. I think this just goes to show just one of the many ways that Marion goes above and beyond to make anyone's stay at the Waterfront Lodge fantastic. Beautiful rooms both in the public area and the bedrooms, a lovely setting on the edge of the lagoon and superb hosting - what more can anyone want?…

A warm and informative welcome from Marion and a lovely room overlooking the lagoon with a nice balcony. Everything that you could possibly require is provided and there is a comfortable lounge with a well stocked honesty bar on the ground floor. Breakfast is first class and hosts Marin and Gavin are great. We can highly recommend.

We are touring South Africa from Jo'berg to Cape Town and found the Waterfronf Lodge where we stayed for four nights. Could not be faulted as we were welcomed by Marion & Gavin who could not do enough for us. Lovely luxurious place on the Knysna Lagoon and probably the best guesthouse we have ever stayed in. Don't miss it if you are travelling the Garden Route.
