What a beautiful hotel! We stayed here for 2 nights whilst driving the garden route. Huge rooms, beautiful views and cleanliness to a high standard. The staff were very welcoming, always had a smile and were very helpful with information on local places to visit. A special mention to Xolani our waiter at breakfast, Sandy on reception for all your tips and advice, and Sos for the lovely welcome.

My partner and I enjoyed our two night stay at St James. The staff were super friendly and the breakfast was great. Unfortunately, due to weather, we were not able to do the boat ride. The bed was extremely comfortable. We also booked a massage, the view from the room was amazing!

From arriving to departure we we treated like royals. Was awarded an upgrade with the most beautiful view. This was one of my best properties ever visited all over the world. The view was breath taking, room was quality decorated and breakfast was great. Overall 10/10 experience.

We stayed four nights at the St James and took advantage of their free boat ride round the lagoon. The suite was spacious and beautifully furnished and the staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast on the decking overlooking the water was especially enjoyable. Would definitely visit again.

This is not really a hotel but a good b&b. The staff are so lovely and helpful and it is in a lovely position overlooking the lagoon but way overpriced. The bedrooms are large, spacious and comfortable but the plumbing needs updating in the bathroom and the towels are too small and thin- definitely not 5 star! It’s ok for a night or two if you are passing through but not for longer.

I first stayed at the St. James in 2009 and returned again 10 years later. It was every bit the wonderful experience this time around. The setting and the grounds are as beautiful as ever and the Manor House has been totally renovated, redesigned and reimagined. We were in town with a large group for our wedding and the staff couldn’t have been more wonderful and accommodating. This place is very special and we can’t wait to come back. (I hope it won’t take 10 years again this time!)
