We had a lovely time at Entabeni Farm with our recent short visit. The service we received can be rated top class. Happy served us with a unforgettable breakfast before we continued our road trip to Port Elizabeth. Will definitely be back. I can highly recommend Hudson Guesthouse Entabeni.

This hidden gem so close to town is a must visit. Its a guest house on a 35 acre estate on a hill with views of the Knysna heads where ever you look. The rooms are really large and beautifully decorated with amazing art. Staff were friendly but not intrusive. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast and romantic walk around the estate. We loved our stay and can not wait to go back!

Everything about Hudson Manor was perfect - from the accommodation, breakfast, location, friendliness and helfulness of the owners and their staff. Nothing was too much trouble. I would thoroughly recommend a stay here. A highlight in our South African holiday.

This review is a bit of a mixed bag. Our stay started off great, we arrived on Good Friday and received a warm welcome by Happy who allowed us to check in slightly earlier as the room was ready. While the location of the hotel was convenient, beautiful, and the room itself was decently sized, there were several issues that detracted from our overall experience.

Cleanliness:
Unfortunately, hygiene seemed to be a bit lax. Upon arrival, I noticed a hole on the bed sheets which I ignored. However throughout our stay, there was no evidence of the sheets being changed, which was quite off-putting. On Saturday the room was half done, the bed haphazardly done and only the bin taken out. Sunday came and on our return found that our room was not cleaned at all, when we called Happy and asked about this she informed us the cleaner had not arrived on the day and did not give an apology. When we called back to ask for clean towels, she hung up on us rudely and brought a heap of towels with some actually dirty.

Breakfast:
The breakfast spread was limited and remained exactly the same every day. While the initial offering was decent, the lack of variety quickly became monotonous.

Service:
The staff was generally friendly, except for the host on the day before and on the day of our checkout. We are grateful for Brian who served us daily with a kind smile and warm heart till the end. During a simple question about the towels and linen not being changed, the host became inexplicably rude and dismissive. This left a sour taste in my mouth at the end of our stay.

Recommendation:
While the location is amazing, I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless consistent service and breakfast variety aren't major priorities for you especially at the hotel price point. There are likely other options in the area that offer a more consistent and pleasant experience and are more affordable.

It was extremely disappointing to hear from our staff that you had a disagreement with them during your stay at Hudson Manor. Unfortunately, we were in Johannesburg for the Easter weekend. Your comments regarding the breakfast menu, cleanliness and service are totally inconsistent with our experience of our staff and our other guest experiences. We seek to ensure that the guesthouse is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness, organisation and guest satisfaction.

We enjoyed Knysna and the surroundings a lot but expected much more of the accommodation. Overall quality is good (like service and breakfast) but many things are not on the level as they should be. For us the worst thing was when someone entered our room at 7am via the connecting door to the neighbour's room.

We sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused to you by one of our guests. The interleading door in our family suite is generally locked when not booked by a single family. This was a genuine oversite by our staff. we are deeply sorry for any embarrassment caused.

We had a very special stay at the Entabeni Farm. Too brief of course. But the views, sense of isolation up on the hill despite being on the lagoon and exceptional comfort of the courtyard accommodation are exceptional

We had a great week in this beautiful accommodation, with a delicious breakfast that fulfilled all wishes. I especially enjoyed the large, always clean pool and the magnificent view. The room is comfortably furnished, very clean and has a beautiful view of the garden and the inner courtyard.
