Been to Knysna many times. Beats the other hotels hands down. I look forward to visitng again. So convenient to waterfront and retaurants in the immedicate facinity offer great value. Comfortable bed. Pleasing views. Freindly staff. Bar staff service good. Food good. Staying another day would have been great.

We were fortunate to spend the week of my Birthday at The Turbine, and I can honestly not find any fault in the hotel. The staff were professional, but also familiar enough to make you feel like you are home. The beds, super comfortable, the pillows, wonderful and the showers and baths, always hot and easy to work out, as someone who stays in a lot of hotels, this attention to detail is always very important to me. Try the restaurant, the feed is sublime, and the pool overlooking the canals was not crowded and warm. I will be spending every birthday in lovely Knysna from now on, and will always choose the Turbine to stay at.

Hotel is well positioned but requires an upgrade to bring it to 2022 standards such has aircon still has no remote, SMAT TV's are essential. i would also have preferred English as a medium of instruction and Chantel not making an effort with our names was such a rude turnoff.

Response from Chris Schutte, General Manager at The Turbine Boutique Hotel and Spa

Dear Ms Nhlanhla, thank you for the feedback and we appreciate your constructive input. I do apologise for the inconvenience at check in. The manager did try but failed to pronounce your surname correctly. Our business language is English and we will improve on this. Safe travels.

My partner and I stayed at the Turbine over New Years and we were treated like kings! The staff were kind and exceptionally trained, the food was spectacular (especially the New Years dinner) and the setting idyllic. Knysna and surrounds has much to offer, but Thesen Island is a hub of activity from where you can easily organise boat rides etc. or book a lovely spa session at the hotel. I'll definitely go back 👌🏻

We enjoyed our stay and would love to return. The hotel is in an excellent spot, the rooms are beautiful and spacious. We had the view of the canal from our room. We also spend an entire day by the poolside, which was is stunning.
