We stayed here for a few days, as we explored areas along Knysna.
We were in a 2 story penthouse apartment. It has covered parking for 2 vehicles, if necessary. Entry to the property was secured by a gate accessed by key fob. Access to the building was also by key code, and there is an elevator to get up to the room.
The building is modern with beautiful glass windows, sliding and opening doors, and pivoting top windows. On the shared floor, there was an outdoor patio with hot tub, dining table. There are two living rooms, both of which access the two top floor balconies. The kitchen and dining room were spacious, and the back room has a dishwasher, sink and washer and dryer.
The master bedroom had access to the balcony from the room and bath. The bath included vanity sinks, a garden tub and walk in in rain shower.
Beds were comfortable.
The masterpiece of the unit was the breathtaking views of the water, shore, ocean and bay.
It has access to 2 restaurants. Both of which had excellent food, service, ambience and views. One is an Italian pizza kitchen and the other is a restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating.
We did not notice anyone else staying there at the time so it was very quiet.
This is a must visit. I’d stay here again!

The Beacon House is a unique place to stay. It offers high end fixtures like heated towel rails and under floor heating. The 3 bedroom apartment is fully kitted out with luxurious white linen and towels. The kitchen has all the large appliances, stove, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. The items all match will a silver finish. Although we had inclement weather during our stay, the rain and thunder and lighting was a beautiful show put on by nature. We were also treated to 4 nights of a full moon shining over the lagoon. We opened the shutters from about 3am every morning and lay there taking in the beauty of it all. This apartment is affordable to the average family and we call The Beacon House our annual Top Billing vacation. We literally cannot bring ourselves to stay anywhere else. Usually adult children do not want to go on holiday with their parents, but before we can say Beacon, they're in, with girlfriends in tow.

From the moment we arrived we were thoroughly satisfied with this accommodation….beautiful views, well equipped, comfortable bedrooms, crisp clean bedding and towels, five star cleanliness rating. The views are amazing and bonus was being able to lookout on the Heads while relaxing in the jacuzzi. We look forward to returning. The location is perfect and although directly across a popular restaurant the penthouse provided adequate privacy with the ease of access to a small fairly private beach.

Room Tip:The penthouse is split across two floors but this was not a concern for us.

An excellent location right on the Knysna heads with parking behind a boom. First access was communicated via WhatsApp. The apartment is spacious and well maintained, great views and as we travelled just before the school holidays it was fairly quite (there is a public parking area just outside the apartments and the main pathway to the heads is just below the apartment block). Lovely breakfast bordering the public parking area. Can highly recommend these apartments.

We stayed at Beacon House in early December 2019 for a week as a family of four and can highly recommend it for anyone looking for a base on the garden route .
The self catering apartments are very spacious, luxurious, spotlessly clean and well equiped and we had the most amazing uninterupted views of the Knysna Heads. We were well received by Mike who kept us up to date with the load shedding schedules ( not a problem as the building has a backup generator) .
Our entire stay was a relaxing and stress free experience allowing us to make the most of your holiday time and we wouldn't hesitate to return .

We had an amazing stay at Beacon Housel! The property was incredibly comfortable, with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. All amenities were provided, from a fully-equipped kitchen to cozy living spaces. The highlight was definitely the breathtaking views – absolutely stunning! It was the perfect place to unwind, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and comfortable escape.

We have just had another wonderful, extended stay at Beacon House (8 weeks). You couldn’t ask for a better base from which to explore the garden route. The apt is comfortable and fully equipped with all mod cons, plus it’s serviced daily. With the inevitable za power cuts, you can rest assured there will be no disruptions to your stay, as the apt has its own generator. You also get allocated your own dedicated parking space for a car. We so enjoy our time at Beacon House we have already registered our interest in returning next year. Thanks again to Mike and his staff for making our stay in Knysna so memorable. We have stayed in Knysna on numerous occasions but find the apt’s in Beacon House, by far, the best rental accommodation in the area.

Mike is a fantastic host, he is friendly and made sure our stay was comfortable. The views from the sea facing rooms are a dream to wake up to. The living areas are cozy and the bar area with the gas fireplace was our favorite chill area. Super clean with Super views of both the ocean and lagoon. Highly recommend.
