Great place! The house is beautiful , breath taking view, lovely and comfortable rooms, spotless , lovely breakfast .
What else can a person ask for? Oh, yes, a smiley staff and a wonderful and welcoming manager named Tess .

Unfortunately we were only staying for one night but we cannot recommend the Atlantic Guesthouse highly enough. We stayed in the Executive Suite and wished we could have stayed longer. The views are stunning even In the rain! Tess could not have been more helpful, arranging a transfer from the airport, recommending and arranging a restaurant and taxis.
Thank you Tess. A perfect start to our holiday.

Hello Jaki and Barry I trust that you are safely home, and hopefully not getting too cold. Our weather has been lovely of late, with days going up to between 27 and 35 degrees. With winter looming, we are all revelling in the sunshine and heat for as long as it lasts. Thank you so very much for your fabulous review.....much appreciated! Your kind words are most heartwarming. It was most delightful to have you stay with us, and I look forward to the next time when you visit us again....hopefully it will be a while longer. Do take care and have lots of fun golfing! Warm regards Tess

I have been staying at Atlantic Guest House very regularly (at times monthly) for the past few years - and I keep on coming back because it is so good!

Atlantic is my 'home away from home' where Tess, Mike and the Atlantic Team always make one feel so welcome, it is definitely like arriving home. (Although I don't get my bed turned down for me and a chocolate left on my pillow when I am at home!)

Tess is an hostess extraordinaire, the staff is extremely friendly, the location is convenient, the view of the lagoon and the Heads out of this world, the breakfast delicious (especially Mike's mushrooms), the bed comfy, the room spacious and clean and the service exemplary!

I always highly recommend Atlantic Guest House to anybody looking for a great place to stay in Knysna for either business or pleasure!

Thank you Tess, Mike and the Team - you guys ROCK!

Hello Theo Well, I have no other words but a HUGE thank you for your amazing review. Things just haven't been the same here since you don't frequent our establishment anymore, and we sure miss you....who else would get us all up at the crack of dawn to have breakfast ready by 7am!! I hope that you are having lots of fun at home and not working too hard on whatever you may be doing. If you and your family are ever in our neck of the woods, please pop in and say hello, we would all love to see you.....or perhaps you and your wife would like to get away for a few days......know that our door is always open! You take care and know that you will always be one of my very special guests, and the perfect gentleman who brought lots of smiles to everyone's faces the moment you walked through the door! Hope to see you sometime in the future Warm regards Tess

Views of the Lagoon from all rooms are stunning - not to mention from the deck and swimming pool area. This is a well kept and maintained guest house offering all the amenities you could wish for - alongside excellent staff who look after your every need. Tess, the host, is the font of all knowledge and makes sure that you get as much as you possibly can from your visit along with recommending and booking restaurants. The well presented Family Room, with two bedrooms made sure my husband enjoyed a decent night's sleep away from my snoring! We will definitely be back.

Loved this guest house. Tess did everything she could to make our stay memorable. Fantastic room and wonderful views. Very large balcony and breakfast was wonderful. We will be back again. Taxi needed to get into town as very steep hill and difficult even walking down but also gave us the great views.

We booked a couple of nights here on our garden route tour and the room we had (Executive with balcony) was fantastic. It was huge, with a luxurious bath overlooking the bay (as well as our neighbour reading a book on the shared balcony unfortunately!). This B&B is not one to walk to from town as it is at the top of a very steep hill, however if you have a car, then stay just for the views.
There did seem to be a bit of nervousness about security but maybe experience warrants that.
Knysna itself has enough to offer for a couple of days but we wouldn't say more than that. Nearby, find the wildcat sanctuary, birdworld and an elephants experience where you walk with and brush down the elephants.

A fabulous place to stay, we stayed overnight at the beginning of October. Tess is an amazing hostess, so friendly and welcoming.
The rooms are spacious and the height of luxury, nothing is overlooked. & then you have got the views and what a view, they must be the best in the area. The breakfast is delicious and loads of choice and then you sit looking out on the estuary, which is an amazing sight.
If I ever came back to South Africa I would definitely stay here again.

This place stands head and shoulders above the rest. My wife and I spent a couple of days of our honeymoon at the Atlantic , guest house Knysna, and considering im quite fussy you can take this to the bank when i say "best guest house in Knysna" views are spectacular panoramic. the house itself offers excellent rooms, a swimming pool, chakoozi, bar, even secure parking. Rooms are well presented with all mod cons. Staff are always happy to help, and the manager Tess is quite knowledgeable about the surrounding area, if fact you have to stop her or she'll tell you the whole history of Knysna. All I can say, is that go there and see for yourself,
A big thank you to everyone at Atlantic guest house Knysna
Kind Regards Darius Currie
