Detailed Reviews
We stayed here for 2 nights, giving us the chance to visit Knysna and Plettenberg Bay. The hotel room offered a great view across the lagoon and Knysna Heads. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was very well equipped and we had lovely breakfasts served in the main reception area. One thing we’ll worth visiting in Knysna Heads which offers spectacular views across the town and the Indian Ocean.

We stayed here on a post cricket tour of 'The Garden Route' after watching England's thrilling victory in Cape Town. It was superb! Charlotte is a serious hospitality professional, the rooms were excellent. As it was a slightly hot the quiet efficient air con was most welcome. The pool area was relaxing all topped off with a sumptuous breakfast. Our best stay in South Africa! Only downside is the location ie its a taxi or drive to any bars/restaurants and the entrance is particularly steep we had to get into the vehicle after exiting otherwise we would scrape the underneath of the car.

Hi Phil, Thank you for the compliments about your experience at the Orange Inn Knysna and the compliments to our great staff. It's appreciated. England deserved the victory, but we would rather have seen that that SA won the game. Enjoy our beautiful country and.... congrats for the PE test win as well. That was just a total one-sided affair. The Orange Inn Team

We arrived quite late around 9pm,host friendly Maria helped my disabled wife to walk down the slope to the entrance.
Hotel is in a beautiful location close to the scenic location ,the Head .
Breakfast was great hosted by very informative Methodist lady, forgotten her name though, helped us to negotiate the slope to the car. Hotel has a beautiful garden and swimming pool. Should have spent more time here

WOW. The staff here are superb. Both Kleintjie (Maria) and Rose were absolutely brilliant from the minute the gates opened. Both these ladies have a great personality are their attention to customer service cannot be faulted. Orange Inn can be very proud to have these 2 ladies running their hotel.
The small but extremely well fitted place is a gem. The rooms are great, extremely comfortable and well appointed. Some rooms have a balcony with a view over the lagoon towards the Heads. So nice to sit there and have a drink or coffee.
On arrival we were warned of load shedding and later we were provided with emergency lamps to use. This has hardly ever happened before. Normally we have ask for details and very seldom get a lamp to use. Well done Orange Inn.
Parking is ample and very safely situated behind a high wall and gates. Felt very safe. The whole Hotel is extremely clean.
Despite the load-shedding problems breakfast was a delight. Maria and Rose had everything under control and both the continental and cooked breakfasts were available, a good range of cereals etc.
I cannot praise this venue enough, or Maria and Rose. Ladies you are both stars and the three of us thoroughly enjoyed your hospitality, friendliness, chats and good humour.
We will be back again!!

Wonderful greeting when we arrived at the Orange Inn and although we arrived early our rooms were ready and we were quickly shown to them. Over the years I have stayed in many a guest house/ b&b but never one as clean modern and absolutely stunning as this one. Nice splash pool and communal area with drinks available via an honesty bar. Towels provided for the pool. Satellite tv and good WiFi. Knysna itself is one of the loveliest resorts I have stayed on the garden route and again would recommend at least two nights here if you want to scout the area. If you travel to Knysna make sure you stay here fantastic value for money.

We spent two nights at the Orange Inn during our stay in Knysna. We had a good welcome from all the staff.
The rooms are very nice with a nice view towards the lagoon. They are tidy and clean. We also made use of the laundry service which is always very useful when traveling for several days. Good location in a quiet area. More than average the rating is GOOD.
Tha Italian Group.

We were a big group of 12, family and friends and we had mostly lovely stay at Orange inn. Maria gave us such a warm welcome and we thoroughly enjoyed she and her colleagues breakfast prepared for us for 3 days. We loved the place, rooms are big, functional and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it

The hotel is exactly as represented online (if not a little better). The on-site manager was excellent in looking after us with local advise mixed in for good measure. Excellent breakfast.
If you are looking for a large corporate hotel chain then not for you but small, local hotel style with caring touch it’s a fit.
Secure little complex with parking.

Large room with fairly new good quality furniture and most amenities. Bath tub leaks, so needs constant refilling (wasting water) to enjoy a 20 minute bath. Aircon in bedroom blows onto bed, so not usable. Thick duvet did not help sleeping in middle of summer. Very friendly helpful personnel.. Satellite TV did not work and could not be fixed for 4 night stay.

The place is very nice and quite, it's easy to get it, 5 minutes drive to waterfront and 3 minutes to Quick Spar. Ooh Marias what a sweet down to earth soul. She's hands on she took us to our room, she showed us around the place. She even offered to take pictures of all the guests that were there. Kitchen stuff also friendly always willing to help
