The room and the house are beautifull and clean. The breakfast was also very good. But the best is that the host are very kind, helpfull, you will feel good staying in this guestlodge. We gladly recommend !

Very nice and quiet lodge with good breakfast. We were upgraded to the two bedroom and kitchen with a good sitting area and veranda, cottage by the pool. We were two couples so suited us fine. The owner/manager was very helpful with tips for restaurants, shopping and places to see. He also booked us to the Featherbed reservation where you can see the Indian Ocean and take a fantastic walk by the cliffs etc. also included in the package was the boat trip and a fantastic lunch bufé. We had our own car that is handy as the lodge is a bit of a walk from town but taxi ix cheap and the help you with booking etc. A nice and quiet area of Knysna.

The guesthouse is located driving distans from Knysna. In Knysna there is many things to explore. I recommend the view from "The Head" from there you can see Knysna estuary and the ocean. The hard trekking at Robberg, but don't forget good walking shoes and water. For the evening restaurant visiting we had to call for a driver (the owner of the guesthouse helped us) I think it was an expensive tour, but we had no chose. The last night the driver was for sure drunk, even he denied it. We stayed at a smal cottage in the garden. The cleaning was bad, the towels were too old for it's name of an towel. We changes them and got another one they were a little bit better. We bought the breakfast, for €12, it was a shame! The coffee was like water, not much of chose for cheese and other toppings, no egg and bacon and the fruit sallad tasted old. The best thing of the guesthouse was the pool area.…

My husband and I had an awesome time at Stannards Guest Lodge. The place was homely and we enjoyed every moment and the staff was very helpful in guiding which areas to explore as it was our first time at Knysna.

Very nice location. Have planned to stay one night extended to four nights. Beautiful garden, nice room, comfortable bed. Friendly and informative management. Breakfast was okay but could have little bit more variations.

Our room was actually a little suite set in the garden. We had a veranda for outside relaxing and dining. The owner was extremely helpful and all the staff were friendly. our only criticism is that breakfast was only continental and was a little skimpy.

Located a drive away from the centre of Knysna, this guest house offers a lovely garden and reasonably comfortable accommodation with friendly staff and a memorable braai by the swimming pool. An honesty bar is available.

Had only one night at Stannards Guest Lodge but would love to come back. Nice atmosphere and hosts that make you feel as welcome as possible. Very helpful. Nice pool and warm people. Even a nice Africa shop.

Kitchen lacked a few necessary utensils, however Portia took note and was rectifying for the next guest.Otherwise everything was very adequate, however it would nice to have block out on east window in main bedroom as light did stream in very early.Location is excellent and beds were very comfortable.
