It was absolutely peaceful and a beautiful space to stay in. The entire property is clean, lush lawns, and the interior of the house, and our room were always cleaned and fresh. Erik and Dorothy are amazing, so friendly and helpful, and truly enjoyed our stay 💛

Great location just outside town. Friendly reception. Room good, wonderful balcony. Beautiful gardens and views. Delightful ladies who served great breakfast outside. Loved those two friendly (and definitely NOT obtrusive) dogs too. Erik is a great host. Interesting to talk with and made us feel completely at home.

If you are in bad luck the complex owner will give you a room that is entered from the shared space, where people can watch television and have a drink. Although the people that spend their time in the shared space don’t do anything wrong, it is impossible to sleep due to the noise caused by the conversations. In my opinion this room, with door label ‘Private’ does not comply to even the lowest standards. The complex owner admitted his mistake (as he described it) and transferred us to another you’re the night after. However, we observed that he managed to move another new couple into this room. It seems that to him there no problem in repeating ‘mistakes’.

Dear Bauke D, Sorry, nothing wrong with the room, a lot of people like that room and even this morning we heard from guests they had an excellent stay in the same room. If you could please tell me what, according to you, these lowest standards were. Kind regards, Erik

First of all I want to thank the Country House for their great services. We had a great room, loved the people who worked there and are willing to help you with everything you need. Special thanx to Cindy/Sandy for helping us booking the Township Tour with Jonas which was great (absolutly a recommendation for a Townshiptour!!!) In a lovely place, with a nice and cosy 'home-sweet-home-feeling' we had a wonderfull time in Knysna!

We stayed at the Knysna Country Lodge for the weekend of the 7th of July 2018. What a lovely stay. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Rooms are lovely, clean and warm. Fires made each night in the fire places and a great breakfast. I will certainly be returning. Can’t wait. 😬
