Views are great, but you pay for them. Be warned however that the smaller unit of the 2 is attached to the owners house, who is very overbearing and abrupt and tends to encroach ones privacy. Considering the price paid, it was quite annoying.
what a wonderful view overlooking the great Knysna lakes, well manicured gardens with hight Quilty rooms and facilities. most defiantly enjoyed our stay and will return next year for the next Karoo to Coast MTB race.
We’d stayed in the pool house at Narnia about 4 years ago (before they were affected by the Knysna fires), and loved it then. We stayed again now in their newly built pool house and we were absolutely blown away. For a family of 5, this house was perfect. It’s spacious, really comfortable and extremely well equipped. What really blew us away was the stunning decor and attention to detail, just beautifully done. I also loved the fact that all doors and windows were secure with discreet security bars and American shutter doors. I felt really safe at night and knew that our belongings were safe when we went out for the day. And then, the gardens! What a treat for the eye! You would never say that a fire had swept through there 2 years ago, because the gardens are just so beautiful and well established. Being on top of a hill, the views over Knysna heads and Knysna Lagoon are also incredible. I was fortunate enough to also experience some reiki for the first time from the owner’s son, James. It was a really peaceful experience, I felt as though I’d left all of my worries behind. I cannot recommend Narnia enough. We will stay there again and again whenever we’re in Knysna. Thank you so much Stella, you can be so proud of your special place.…
Everything was as we expected, and we had very high expectations based on the beautiful pictures and previous guest reviews! They also went out of their way to accommodate my husband, who is in a wheelchair. We will definitely be back and stay longer next time!
My father made me discover this place when I was 10, I fell in love with it. The place was beautiful, the poeple there were amazingly nice (also i loved their dog). The food was Good too, I kinda felt at home. It really was an amazing experience and I'm looking forward to go there again.
We started our SA Holiday at Narnia again and it was perfect. Relaxing from day one, beautiful breakfast, stunning views and lovely hosts. Plus - Jamie's massage is always a good Choice, especially after a long overnight trip or a round of Golf. And playing Golf @ Simola was a lot of fun (thanks again, Richard). The poolhouse is a really nice and spacious retreat and the dogs are fun. Will return next year for sure.
Our stay at Narnia Guesthouse was just lovely!! A view overlooking the Knysna lagoon is absolutely breathtaking. On top of the view, the property is amazing with an extraordinary garden. Included is a beautiful pond with the added bonus of a picturesque tree with a swing! If that wasn't enough, the host Stella and her amazing team made the stay above and beyond exceptional. When in Knysna, do yourself a favor and book this as your next weekend away!!! Ps - the two lovely dogs are the cherry on the cake :)
Probably one of my favourite places in the world We had the lookout for a week and what a view ?!! Beautiful room, amazing service and a magical experience Counting the days for next year!!! Thanks to Stella and the team for making our trip so special
Really enjoyed our stay at the pool house which had everything we needed for self catering. It had lots of character. The pool was great and a decent size. Two beautiful friendly dogs also and friendly owners. Will visit again one day.
The great unexpected things here were 1. The amazing garden. I went to sleep at night just seeing flowers 2. Value for money particularly as rooms were serviced with no extra charge and bags were carried. This is what hospitality is about - if I have someone to stay in my home I offer to help with their bags - and so do Narnia staff 3. Personal attention and care - the emphasis is on whether you have a good time. Very non intrusive too . We had some odd requests that were attended to immediately 4. The dog asking if s/he could swim with me (but don't worry the dogs are not intrusive either ) 5. If you like nature and quiet then this is the place for you 6. it was cool as in temperature in spite of sweltering heat outside on one of the days The rest you can read about on theh website We would definitely like to go back…
