Amazing stay! This really is a 5 star property. The hotel and rooms are beautifully appointed with excellent attention to detail. The staff are incredibly well trained, always available and listen to what we might need and anticipate our requirements. We are going to the beach and got offered two chairs and a sun umbrella without even asking. It is spotlessly clean and the bed linen to die for. Bianca met us every morning to ask if we needed anything else before we set off for the day ( she gave us maps for touring around the area). I would not stay anywhere else after this marvelous experience, even having stayed on Thesen Island many times. The views are to die for looking out over the lagoon and The Heads. Stay here, you will not be disappointed…

Everything about our stay was perfect. The staff were so friendly, attentive and helpful. Our perfect hosts Bianca and Rossano ensured that we were well taken care of and even arranged a top dinner reservation for us at a popular and very busy restaurant at the last minute. Needless to say we had brilliant service at this restaurant. The Bloem itself is perfectly situated, beautifully appointed and has the most incredible views of Kynsna. Our room was amazing, with the most comfortable bed and sofa, and the best shower we have ever experienced. Attention to detail is not lacking at The Bloem. Thank you, we look forward to returning.

If Tripadvisor let us have a chance to give a sixth star once a year, in 2021 I would definitely award it to TheBloem. The location is perfect, with an amazing view on the lagoon and at only 5 minutes from the center. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing, so much that you may forget to go out and enjoy the beauty of the garden route. The rooms are excellent, clean and spacious, with a nice patio where you can have your private breakfast. But the priceless part is the amazing hosts and the staff. They are, kind, professional and always available, ready to help you for whatever need you may have, giving precious suggestions for places to visits and restaurants to go. At TheBloem you feel treated like kings and queens. I am travelling a lot for work and for leisure but I don’t think I have ever experience such a quality of service. Thanks Bianca and Rossano, you have created a real paradise experience. And still sorry for that vase……

You wonder why people have to travel anywhere in the world but South Africa? The Bloem is a relatively new property in Knysna overlooking the bay. Beautiful views especially on a sunny day. The rooms are in immaculate condition with tremendous attention to detail. Beds that are super comfy with warm comforters, a fully stocked min bar, excellent breakfast, a knowledgeable and caring team make sure that your stay in truly spectacular. Lots of nice seafood around the area which should not be missed. A truly wonderful stay for the family.

We had the privilege to be the first post-COVID guests at this beautiful oasis, which is very well prepared for the return of guests. Everything is very modern, stylish and well selected. We stayed here as a halfway house driving the Garden Route from Cape Town to Port Elizabeth. Coming from a large hotel to a guest house such as this one, we immediately felt the friendly welcome and a much more personal and attentive approach. The rooms were immaculate, clean and bright with a lovely view looking out over the lagoon. Breakfast was served to our room each morning and was very tasty with lovely fresh fruit, bread and eggs served to our liking. A nice turndown service every night with the weather reports for the next day and different chocolates. A drinks hour too with an honesty bar outside of these times - all little things that added up to a great stay. The staff were ever so keen to please and we felt they were looking out for us, from greeting us on our return to seeing us off when we would head out. If we were to ever visit Knysna again, we’d be sure to stay in Thebloem again. We can’t recommend it highly enough.…

We cannot speak highly enough of this guest house. Everything was five star. Some nice touches like afternoon tea and time for evening drinks. The staff were all wonderful and couldn't do enough for us. Breakfasts were delicious, view stunning, eating out recommendations spot on. If we had a complaint it was that the staff were perhaps over attentive in their desire to help and to ask if everything was ok!
