We felt very comfortable in the Cambala Lodge. Ninja and Matts, the hosts, have furnished their house with great taste and attention to detail. They are great hosts who look after their guests personally, have tips ready and are very helpful. The facilities in the house are top-notch, the breakfast with fresh fruit, yoghurt, cheese, sausage, jams, various egg variations and the great, home-made bread and biscuits/cakes leaves nothing to be desired. The rooms are large and clean, with their own small seating area. The quality of the beds is very good. The garden is beautiful, with great vegetation and an impressive view from the breakfast terrace over the pool to the bay and the Heads of Knysna. In less than 5 minutes you can be in the city either with your own car or with a cheap taxi. The parking on the property is safe, the car behind a locked gate.
Perhaps you should know that the bathroom/toilet is only separated from the bedroom by a curtain, which is a bit unusual for people who value their privacy in this area. We would book again at any time.

The Cambalala B+B is situated with a stunning view over the bay of Knysna in the midst of a very nice garden with a swimming pool for hot days. A very rich breakfast and well maintained and designed rooms leave absolutly no room for complaints. I will come again.

We visited the Cambalala Guest House on our South Africa trip (unfortunately only 2 nights). The accommodation is slightly elevated and you have a fantastic view of Knysna and the lagoon. The rooms are a force! Also the outdoor area with infinity pool and the places to relax are great. Breakfast is very delicious and can be taken on the great terrace.
The host couple is extremely friendly and helped us with the restaurant reservation for dinner. The shuttle for the return trip was also always organized. Knysna can be easily reached by foot in the early evening.
We can recommend this great accommodation 100%.

Nestled in a serene residential area, this hotel offers not only safety but also an exceptionally beautiful view, making it a unique gem. Whether you're checking in or out, the process is as quick as sipping a glass of wine or enjoying a cup of coffee, making your stay both efficient and delightful.

With just six rooms available, the service provided here is nothing short of exceptional, and securing a reservation is a must. Although my stay was originally planned for only two days, I'd gladly extend it to two weeks if I could.

What sets this place apart is the owner's expertise in health and wellness. Here, you'll indulge in only the finest fare that's not only delicious but also nourishing for both body and soul.

While this hotel undoubtedly has a romantic charm, I was fortunate to visit with my older daughter, and I can attest that it caters to all types of guests seeking tranquility and discretion.

The hosts, a warm and welcoming couple, go above and beyond to ensure you feel right at home, and they unquestionably succeed in creating an unforgettable experience.

What a great experience with Ninja , Mats and Alfi! They take care of you like you’re family and tend to your every wish.
It’s so relaxing….
Breakfast is served at the terrace by the infinity pool overlooking the lagune……wow!
What a breathtaking view!
(Ask Alfi for mushrooms only at breakfast and I assure you you will get the loveliest giggle you ever saw)

The location is perfect for trips to Brenton, Buffelsbaai and the inlands.
Absolutely a place to go back to!

Cambalala Guest house in Knysna SA is amazing! The grounds are beautiful with a lot of outdoor space to sit and relax. And it's hard to beat the views - you can look out from the infinity pool edge to the Knysna Lagoon and the Knysna Heads, where the Lagoon meets the Indian ocean!
We spent 4 nights here, and were very pleased with our stay. It is adults only and there are only around 6 rooms, so it has a cozy feel to it, and is in a great location. There is a small parking area and it is gated.
The breakfasts are wonderful, and the owners and staff are great hosts. I would highly recommend considering Cambalala Guest house on any trips to Knysna!

This was our second time staying at Cambalala and we will definitely be back.
The location Is very safe with enclosed parking. The view from the beautiful gardens is amazing and the infinity swimming pool just invites you to jump in.
Ninja and Mats are fantastic hosts so welcoming and the breakfast is superb especially the little extras that Ninja bakes.
A great place to relax and chill out.
