We stayed for two nights as a family of 4 at On the Cliff. We were made to feel very welcome by Charmaine and all our needs were taken care of by Lucky. The rooms had great views over the cliffs to the sea and were spacious and well appointed. Charmaine was super informed about restaurants and things to do in Hermanus. We had pre-drinks and afters both nights in the on site honesty bar: it was great fun. Can't fault the breakfasts: lots of choice. Really enjoyed our stay.

What a little gem of a place. Amazing place to stay with very comfortable set-up and large rooms. Very friendly people and very accommodating. Local recommendations were great and we really had a wonderful stay.

The views from this property gaze into the distance across the sea and it is in an ideal location for exploring Hermanus and the areas north, west and east of the town. The standard of service is very high and an excellent breakfast awaits each morning. Issues regarding load shedding and overnight electricity for medical equipment was handled very quickly and efficiently. A very relaxing property to stay at with full secure parking provided.

Lovely time staying here. Was so clean and comfortable, breakfast was delicious. Location quiet but close enough to walk to the town along the beautiful cliff path. Charmaine was fabulous, even sorting a doctor for my husband. Lucky was a joy to deal with, so sweet and helpful. Will definitely be back.

A great position with view of the sea. Room and service top. It was the third time we stayed there, and if going back to Hermanus we would stay here again. A nice walk from the house in to town both by road or cliff path.

This excellently-positioned guest house with unbeatable views was a wonderful spot for our stop over in Hermanus before heading up to the garden route and after visiting the penguins in Betty’s Bay. The hospitality and charming spot were comfortable and lovely. It was great to have such convenient access to go on the beautiful cliff walk across the street. Charmaine is a helpful host with useful recommendations. The view & balcony were fantastic. I want to visit again for longer next time.

Had a lovely1 night stay. Our room was large and very clean. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. Although slightly out of the centre of Hermanus, it is a beautiful 15min walk along the cliff top path. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend staying here.
