Bottom House and The Cottage is situated in a quiet area and both have a lovely ambience. The facilities are very close to the main beaches, cliff paths and mountain paths. DSTV is available. Bottom House kitchen is well-equipped with all modern amenities, crockery, cutlery, dish washer, washing machine, etc. There is a large lounge , a diningroom with undercover braai facilities, a small library, three bedrooms (two rooms with double beds, one with twin beds) and two bathrooms. Sea view from first bedroom and from lovely terrace facing the sea. The Cottage has a bedroom (double bed), lounge, mini bathroom and mini kitchen. Leadinng from the bedroom and lounge is an undercover patio with braai facilities and garden furniture. Adding to the lovely ambience is the fig tree at the patio. The Bottom House and The cottage can be booked together or separately. All linen and towels are provided. Restaurants are available close by - within walking distance, as well as golf course (3 km), town centre (5 km)

Comfortable accommodation with all the essentials for self catering. Charlyn was very welcoming and friendly. Great location within easy walking distance of the beaches and the coastal path. Hermanus is a beautiful spot to visit. Can highly recommend it.

If you wish to stay in the pretties part of Hermanus close to gorgeous beaches and walkways just down the road, look no further. Should you wish to spend a small amount of time or arrange for a family holiday you will not be disappointed in booking at the Bottom House. Charlyn was most welcoming with excellent tips at hand and gave our holiday a personal touch. The house was well stocked with everything you will need and Charlyn was only a sms away in directing us in and around Hermanus as first time visitors. You never feel boxed in as the house is very spacious with a magical vintage flair making it a truly unique place to be. The beds were extremely comfortable and the place is well kept and neat as a pin. When returning next year for the Wines to Whales Cycling be sure that we will book as soon as possible and for a longer period as the Bottom House is home to us and our family.…

It was lovely to return to Bottom House for a relaxing week' stay. Spacious, comfortable and well-equipped for self-catering, Bottom House is within walking distance (10 Minutes) of Hermanus' stunning Cliff Path and 10 minutes drive to several shops to stock up the larder. As always, Charlyn warmly welcomed us and went more than the extra mile to ensure access to the full DSTV bouquet. We already planning our next return stay at Bottom House.

Bottom House is becoming our favourite destination when spending time in Hermanus. Spacious accommodation, fully-equipped kitchen (incl dishwasher and washing machine, iron facilities), comfortable, informal lounge area (full access to DSTV), and 5 minutes by car from the beach. Quiet neighbourhood and gracious hostess.

Situated just out of the hustle and bustle of the town, but close enough to easily stock up with goodies, this spacious old family home has everything you could ever need. It is close to magnificent beaches and the well maintained walkway along the shoreline, as well as Fernkloof Nature Reserve, which are all must visit places. The indoor braai is great for windy or rainy days!

We have just enjoyed a most relaxing week in Hermanus. Bottom House is very well equipped, the beds are extremely comfortable, lovely big kitchen, on a quiet cul de sac, high ceilings, wooden floors, a real home from home. Charlyn was the most attentive host, meeting us on our arrival, assisting with our every request, filling the house with a beautiful display of roses and even bringing us fresh croissants for breakfast the morning after our arrival. There are so many wonderful places to visit in and around Hermanus with the Hemel and Aarde Valley an easy drive, the village of Stanford, the Klein River Cheese factory as well as the quaint and very clean town of Hermanus itself, the beautiful beach and the footpath which winds itself along the coast. Thank you Charlyn for all your care in making our week such a memorable one.…

Charlyn and Gerhard were perfect hosts ! Cottage was clean and cozy , Charlyn was kind and helpfull, showing us around Hermanus that we really appreciate! The cottage is near to the Ocean, nice mountain walks, resturants and shops and the wine yards. We arrived at Bottom House after dodging the fires that were raging around the Boland, to a haven of calmness, beauty and cool champagne air. The house was so lovely - beautiful hydrangeas and roses in flower arrangements, polished antique furniture, a clean and well equipped kitchen, clean light bedrooms, well stocked bookshelves. I would need pages to tell you about our stay and how much we enjoyed it. Our hostess was attentive yet never intrusive and her attention to detail and excellent taste contributed largely to the enjoyment of our stay. Thanks again for making our holiday memorable!

Bottom House is a spacious home within easy reach of a Blue Flag beach. It has all that is needed for a relaxing holiday. The beds are comfortable, the linen excellent and it has a very well equipped kitchen. We were given a wonderful welcome with flowers in our rooms and the table beautifully laid for our lunch. On one of our days we invited guests for a celebratory braai and managed to seat all 15 of us with plenty crockery,cutlery and glassware. It was a great, happy break away from home. Thank you
