Apart from the problem we had getting an early breakfast (we had to go elsewhere for this) the stay was enjoyable. Rooms were clean and spacious. The reception we got was very nice and friendly. Most of my group carried their own luggage as there was only one porter to cater for 24 people. The location is excellent, right in...

Another lovely stay this year in Penthouse 1 . It's perfect for us in every way and the staff are so lovely and helpful ....we will just carry on staying here as long as we can. The views over the town square and the bay are wonderful and breakfast is always good at the Burgundy restaurant across the road.

Our room was one of the "lofts" above the entrance, which was larger but the windows looked out over the pool area and smokers tended to sit there. In addition, street noise was quite significant depending on the day. The room was well laid out, the bed comfortable and room laid out well. Service was fine and breakfast across the...

A quirky but beautiful guesthouse in the heart of Hermanus. Great views of the ocean, perfect if your there to whale watch. Pool on site, breakfast is at the restaurant across the road. Great value for money. Many thanks Clare The Not So Impulsive Traveller

We only had a one night stop. The day was hot and very windy, unfortunately there was no shelter in the pool area. Room very comfortable with view out to sea. We were only aware of other guests the following morning at breakfast at the Burgundy restaurant next door.. Perhaps 6-7pm could be made a social hour in the lounge...

We stayed two nights in P1 penthouses are on floor 2. Could see Ocean on three sides. Balcony view best in town. Bed 5 star. Fresh air came in on 270 degrees (all three sides). Wifi best after five weeks in South Africa. It is 30 years old but built in the old French style. Our guide selected it among...

Fabulous place, right in the heart of the town. Breakfast was wonderful with magical views out to the bay. Staff were really helpful and very kind. The building reminds of Provence with gorgeous quite surrounding areas. We would definitely stay here again.

We spent just one day. The room is wide. The breakfast is in the restaurant next to the accommodation with a amazing view. The location is very good. You can find many restaurants and stores nearby. I recommended Auberge Burgundy!

I was a little put out that the only way to make a booking was by email and i could not complete my booking over the phone. the room was great albeit a little dated. I would have relied this stay as ‘Good’ however the only options in this range were ‘Average’ and ‘Very Good” and it was definitely not...

We spend 5 months of the year in South Africa and live close enough to Hermanus to make it an easy day trip. We have seen the Auberge a number of times and as we were keen to do the Hermanus Art Walk (which takes place on the first Friday of every month) we decided to stay overnight there. From...
