The Auberge Burgundy, which is set above the picturesque Old Harbour, in the historic heart of Hermanus (the hub of the famous Whale Route) is a Provencal style guesthouse with fragrant courtyards and stone terraces, with a touch of old world charm. The Auberge Burgundy offers comfortable accommodation and friendly service and is surrounded by restaurants, the craft market, boutiques, art galleries and quaint shopping malls. It has the salt sea air of one of the world’s most magnificent eco-destinations in the world – the cool blue sea of Walker Bay is within 50 m of our front door. Our standard poolside rooms and Penthouse suites have newly been refurbished, with the rest to be done in the months to come.

It's centrally situated with an incredible view if you're one of the lucky ones. Room L was our room which backed onto the swimming pool which could get noisy and if someone smoked we had to close our windows. (possibly because its a sun haven...More

This was our sixth visit to the Auberge Burgundy which I think clearly demonstrates how much we enjoy staying here. We stayed in the Right Hand suite in mid November. The room is very spacious and well equipped with excellent views over the bay. The...More

It's a piece of France that you wandered in. Very nice hotel, good personnel, spacious rooms, clean. We had one of the smaller rooms but still quite good! In the front can be somewhat noisier because sometimes tourist buses park in front. But you can...More

I've purposefully "misspelled" piece in my title, as this gem of a place, although smack bang in the middle of Hermanus village, provides such a relaxing, peaceful haven. The rooms were spacious, clean, comfortable beds, a lovely swimming pool and a beautiful, tranquil garden. I'll...More
