Okay, so we visited Hermanus when it was relatively quiet so we were the only people staying at the BnB. Anyway, the BnB was really clean, neat, breakfast was lovely, wifi worked well, no complaints whatsoever. The host was warm as well! This place is worth recommending and is definitely value for your money!

My boyfriend and I spent two nights here over New Years and we really enjoyed it. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the breakfasts were delicious and the swimming pool was an added bonus for our hot stay! The hostesses, Hannelie and her daughter, were brilliant. They were a great laugh and really made an effort to make us feel welcome. I think the only downside is the location, as it is situated a little way out of the town centre. It wasn't a big deal, it just meant we had to drive into town rather than walk. On a more positive side, it is located opposite a great cliff path that overlooks the ocean and has huge rock pools for swimming. I would definitely recommend a stay here!

Lovely accommodation at a very reasonable rate. Good location and enjoyable breakfast. Friendly and helpful host. Our top rooms had a nice balcony with partial sea view, rooms good size and very neat. Would stay again.

We had a back room with view to the mountains which is slightly cheaper than the front rooms with partial sea view. Our (double) room was none too large but that was all right for the two nights that we stayed. The location is great, close to the sea. We saw no whales but had expected that a bit as it was the end of the season. The room, the bathroom and all the rest are somewhat old fashioned but that is not necessarily negative in that the reception was old fashioned as well : very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was ample (cereals, yoghurt, large French coffee pot the French way, English hot breakfast, fruits in bowl, etc). Wifi reception was good. We can certainly recommend this place.

We had three rooms and the one in the main house was the best. The two rooms above the garage had rather steep stairs. It was unseasonably hot so it was lucky we could open the windows for a bit of a breeze. Everything was clean and the parking was locked. Breakfast was ample, tasty, and varied. The best part was the location along the cliff walk. Just across the street, you can turn left on the beach and see whales frolicking very close to shore. We watched for a few hours and saw them breaching and making gigantic splashes. Great location for whale watching!

I have mixed feelings! On the positive side: I had quite a large room, facing the sea with a bit of a sea view, and a small balcony. Everything in the room was comfortable, and sufficient. On the day I arrived, one could see the whales playing in the sea! I left my luggage in the car and immediately walked down 'Die Gang' (The Passage), which is almost opposite the house and leads to a lovely area with benches where I could get some footage of the whales, even if a bit far. At least my camera could zoom them in a bit. I was fortunate that there were not many guests, so it was lovely and quiet. I paid R380 per night, which included breakfast. On the negative side: I am a pensioner (unfortunately!), and even though I could handle my luggage, I would have appreciated just an offer of assistance. There is a very high flight of stairs outside the room (possibly converted garage), which leads to the upstairs rooms. Quite something to get a heavy suitcase up there and down again. As one often finds at the coast, the cupboards had a damp smell and I left the doors wide open as I did not want my clothing to smell the same. Also used some perfume to spray first. The small bathroom (shower only) really needs a shelf for shampoos, etc. Had to stick these items on the toilet lid or windowsill (in die sun). The owners have full time jobs, so I only met the one, but never saw her again. (Her MIL prepared breakfast, which was good, and she enjoyed time to chat).
