we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Baleens. There was a comfort of home and a personal touch. Friendly and helpful staff. Only improvement with breakfast would be something extra like mushrooms and/or sausage. Other than that a lovely place and well managed. Keep up the great service.

Out of the centre of Hermanus in a quiet area. Lovely surrounding views to sit amongst for an early evening appetiser. Friendly staff; honesty bar; games room to have some fun in. Rooms are pleasantly equipped for the short stay we had there. Ours opened onto the lawn where we sat and enjoyed a coffee in the late afternoon sun.

Baleens is a pleasant hotel with efficient staff and service. The rooms are comfortable., but be warned that your privacy will be compromised if your room happens to be near the swimming pool! The breakfast menu is good. A restaurant at a nearby beach is excellent and obviates the necessity of travelling to town for other meals. Overall, Baleens offers...

We found this spot to be clean and cheerful and a great price. The staff were welcoming however I feel they could have shown us around when we arrived in a better fashion. The rooms were clean and comfortable and they were gracious to allow our small family dog to stay. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were friendly....

Feels like a family run hotel. Friendly hotel staff and close to one of the nicest beaches. The rooms are simple but clean. The lounges and bar area is nice to sit and relax in and the honesty bar is a nice touch and the drinks are so affordable

We had a very big family room with big beds and little balcony. The bathroom was very small, not for 2 people together in it. But it was very quiet and we enjoyed the small swimming pool on our own. The street was also very quiet, it is in a living area just at the beginning of Hermanus, so you...

We had a room with a balcony with a nice view over the sea. The staff were very friendly. The place is nicely situated in a quiet part of Town and close to the famous Blue Flag Grotto Beach where you can go for long walks on clean white sand.

Based in the outer edge of Hermanus, we found this hotel a perfect retreat. What was once a farm house, the hotel is a wonderful building run in a friendly but unintrusive way. The hotel is close to the beach and about ten minutes drive from the centre of Hermarnus. We thought it was a real find.
