Arrived late afternoon at the lodge purely by chance (no previous booking made). We were quickly and very friendly sorted out regarding room, breakfast and other arrangements. The room was clean and comfortable, and the next morning we enjoyed a healthy continental breakfast.

Unexpectedly arrived at the lodge where we were met with very friendly staff who welcomed us and made us feel at home. This place offers value for money, has good location and lovely staff. - we had a very pleasant stay

Home like atmosphere very friendly staff the manager is a lovely person makes you feel at home. The beds are very comfortable and the linen is good quality . The price is very reasonable and it includes a light breakfast .

Good location and a nice welcoem. However, the rooms were smelling and the waterpressure in the shower low. The room was not face the street but we could not sleep due to the traffic noice during the night. Although breakfast was included, if you wanted to have eggs, you had to pay extra. So we left after one night although we had paid for two.

I stayed here during my trip on the garden route. It was off season, so the hostel didn't have many guests. It was a cute setup and I could see it being a great place for meeting people during the busy season.
It had a large kitchen to cook in and many places to eat, relax, lounge. All the furniture has an extremely 'lived in' feeling, but the outdoor porch is lovely to spend time in. The walls were quite thin (there was someone snoring on the other side I could hear all night), and the bunks didn't have curtains. Additionally my mattress sunk in drastically and my back was killing me in the morning, but other than that, it was fine.
The woman who works the front desk was lovely and very accommodating. They also have a parking lot that is gated to park your car in overnight, which was a game changer.

Lovely, cozy, clean wonderful stay. The host was extremely helpful and gracious. The the staff were kind and accommodating . Charming courtyard, comfy bed, walking distance to the beach. Amazing food and service. I would highly recommend.

Always such a pleasure to stay over at Zoete Inval. The staff is very friendly and helpfull and will assist in any way possible. Our go to when we need to stay over in Hermanus. Such a charming and tranquil atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

Great place to start your whale watching! Very friendly staff, passionate owners and a good location. Free brekkie is provided. A 15-minute walk from the town centre with its nice restaurants, and only 2 minutes away from the start of a nice walking/hiking trails which gives you a magnificent view over the area. Note: It is a Baz Bus stop, even though not stated in Coast to Coast. If you're travelling with Baz Bus though, make sure you confirm your shuttle with the backpackers lodge too!
And, make sure you make use of the jacuzzi whilst enjoying some local wine available from the front desk!

Had a great time in Hermanus at the Zoete Inval Lodge - a characteristic, green eco-friendly and yet vibey splace to hang out, cook, socialise and sleep. If you chose the breakfast option, you‘ll be seated with other B&B guests at the main house. I felt welcome all the time, and the staff and service was throughout excellent.

We were really desperate and there we found the perfect room for us,a family of four.Cosy and comfortable beds,reasonable bathroom.Season prices apply off course in December,also at Backpackers.Staff was very nice.The only thing I didn't like, was the lady serving breakfast,telling everyone how much God loves him or her.Not everyone wants that,while he/she tries to wake up ....
