Detailed Reviews
Very good place with an awesome view of the mountains. The host is very friendly as we checked in quite late but she did the proper arrangement for our check-in. The place has a stunning view of the mountains and is walkable distance from the Redberry farm. We will definitely to go back.

Reception very friendly but not very efficient. Gardens are beautiful and colourful. Residents were very noisy. Parking within the complex is chaotic and poorly managed.

We booked online and spent 3 days in the chalet. We found the place to be friendly and comfortable place to stay and used it as a base for our holiday to the Wilderness and Knysna area. We would recommend the Chalets as they are separate from the main guest house and provide a pleasant outdoor area to relax.

My 2 friends did not even sleep in their room that they paid for because no one was there to open for them. We would never make use of your establishment again.
When we wanted to check in earlier. Kelly did not want to give the keys to us.

Super friendly and helpful owner. They even gave us a free lift to the airport in the morning as we didn't have a car at the time. It was clean and in beautiful grounds. It was a great location if you want quick access to the airport.

God has perfect timing never early, never late.
It takes a lot of patience but it's worth the wait. African Sun is truly amazing, home away from home.

Ingrid your testimony is amazing, we truly enjoyed our stay.

My fiance booked us in at African Sun for one night and we certainly won't be back. Although the room is adequete and the bed not too bad it is not worth the approx R1200.
Upon our arrival there was no one at the reception and we were expected to assist ourself to our key. Please note that we arrived there at 15h00 so it was not at an inconvenient time.
The bed in the room itself was perfectly fine however the sound insulation was terrible. We could hear eveything the neighbours were doing, even hearing them snor through the night. The fan needs to be replaced as well as it makes such a racket that one doesn't even want to switch it on.
The room featured all the condiments to make coffee and tea, but no kettle. We wanted to point this out but as I mentioned earlier, there was no one at reception. The following morning when we wanted to shower, there was no warm water.
Although the room has its faults, I must add that it could be acceptable if they fix some basic issues however they seriously need to look at their pricing. There are far better option out there at that price.

Please dont go here....
Where do i start.
I booked on line travelling down the coast to Cape Town. i booked online after looking at the website.
I then phoned spoke to the receptionist confirmed my booking.
We arrived at 6 pm in the evening exhuasted from our trip.
Then the problems started.
Firstly no tv in bedrooms as advertised on website
secondly no wifi in bedroom as advertised on website
Thirdly no food available as advertised
Forthly we had 2 share a communal bathroom with our kids in another room which wasnt a real issue.
The most scary part was waking up at 2 am in the morning with a person in our room from another room, they had access to our rooms.
Totally shocking , no safety and or privacy.
Not a word from management.
