I stayed recently on the 21st while attending to business on the Estate. I was impressed by the efficiency of the staff and the location of the place. The views are breathtaking! I had a pizza from the bistro as room service and was happy with the quality of the food and would definitely recommend it. I would definitely stay there again next time I am in the are.

I got married in November 2020 and planned this trip in advance. Spoke to Vivianne who did my initial booking and she was going to romantic / complimentary turn down of the room that never happened when we arrived, only after the 1st evening. Then the aircons didn't work for 2 out of the 3 nights stay in December so you can imagine how little we slept. Staff at breakfast was average as it felt like they were doing us huge favours to make us a omlette. The only saving grace was the clubhouse restaurants food and friendly staff there.

Absolutely shocking service. Orders constantly wrong at the club house. No general management and staff not alert. Really deteriorated over the years. They have so much room and potential for improvement.

After reading reviews on TripAdvisor I was afraid that I would be disappointed in our booking...I found most reviews quite negative. However...We had a lovely relaxing stay at Oubaai. The bird life and nature surrounding and within the Oubaai Hotel and Estate are absolutely beautiful. Staff were friendly and attentive. Had drinks at the Bistro pub overlooking the golf course and a delicious breakfast in the morning. There are signs of maintenance issues and repair work, but it seems they are giving attention to it and it didn't influence our stay at all. Only one restuarant is open during the day, but this is understandable in the current circumstances. Our room was spacious, sparkling clean with everything you need. Clean white towels and robes. This is a beautiful hotel and we hope to be back soon !

The hotel room is great but lacks a bit of practicality features. There's only 1 charging point in a room and it is nowhere near the bedside pedestal. The restaurant staff(which by the way is the same people who do porter services, reception etc.) runs with very minimum staff thus putting a whole lot of compromise on service delivered. With the hotel not have brought back more staff, prepare for very very very poor poor service. That is what I received
