There is a reason that Lola has so many guest who return year after year and who become personal friends. Quite simply, nothing-- but nothing is too much trouble for Lola and her team - guests want to stay at Constantia Stables because they feel wanted and valued. Thank you for yet another visit Lola - our time with you was certainly a highlight of our 8 week trip to Cape Town. See you in 2018!
We stayed here for a week with our children over the Easter holidays. What a fab place, pretty cottages, fabulous hostess and central location so easy to visit lots of places around South Africa. Highly recommended!
We are just back from a trip to Cape Town, which ended with a five night stay at Constantia Stables. We had been highly recommended staying there by friends and it didn't disappoint. From our initial contact with Lola to make the booking, we felt very welcome. The setting is gorgeous with wonderful views out to the mountains. The buildings are all surrounded by the most glorious gardens which were wonderful to be sit in. Lola was the most attentive, friendly hostess and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. She was most helpful with advice about restaurants and places to visit. A wonderful gem of a place.
We stayed for three nights in The Hayloft, a spacious well appointed room, It's up a steep flight of steps though so might not suit anyone with limited mobility. There are other rooms though from which you can choose if this is a problem. Lola really is such a wonderful hostess, nothing is too much trouble. Her breakfasts are wonderful, such a great selection. The garden is so pretty and the pool was wonderful to laze around after a long overnight flight. Lola had organised dinner at a local restaurant and very reliable taxis. It was my birthday while we were there and I found a lovely bouquet of flowers and card. Such a thoughtful gesture. Thank you Lola - you're great.
I truly cannot imagine a better place to stay in Capetown! Lola was such a delightful host and was there for anything you needed. Her breakfast was Incredible with fresh fruit (huge bowls), meats, cheeses, cereal, yogurt and then ,of course, the hot breakfast...eggs, omelet, bacon, salmon...and this list goes on! The rooms were so quaint with wonderful linens, towels, coffee, tea and even some local magazines. Her gardens are amazing and if we had time it was so relaxing to sit on the porch with our coffee and just enjoy the flowers and large array of birds. I will definitely be going back to visit Lola on my next trip to Capetown!!!
