My wife and I have been coming to the Cape Town region every year for the last ten years or so. We always stay at the White Lodge guest house, a perfect base for visiting Cape Town and the wine regions around Constantia. We only stayed for one night but every was sparkling and clean, the hostess was extremely helpful and accommodating (especially since our flights were significantly delayed resulting in a very late arrival), and the breakfast was scrumptious and delivered with a smile.

We had a warm welcome from Beth on a chilly winters day. The lodge is clean, comfortable and well situated. Whilst we chose to have only a delicious continental breakfast there was a fully cooked option available. Next time we can hopefully linger longer.

As the former CEO of a hospitality group, I am often critical of the hotels in which I stay, but the White Lodge was faultless. From the warm reception on arrival, to the comfortable and well-equipped room, the excellent breakfast, and the friendly but unintrusive staff, everything was perfect. And perhaps just as important – very reasonably priced.

We booked for 2 nights before flight back to UK. We’d flown back from PE and had no car and imagined a chill out time before heading home. Here’s the good bits: manager welcoming and friendly, a lovely breakfast, a comfy bed, a quiet and safe residential area, pretty garden and secluded pool, 15 min walk to shopping plaza and restaurants (many close at 6pm though). Less good: the photos are deceptive - a couple of rooms have lovely views but the majority don’t as they’re on the first or ground floor and look out to the other side of the building. The room was small and cramped, the walls paper thin, we could hear the guy in the next room using the toilet and the kids the other side crying. It was an expensive stay. If you have a car, the parking is tight.

We were lucky to snag the last room available at the lodge. Beth accommodated us, even though we were a late flight into Cape town she stayed up to greet us. The room was very spacious and comfy, breakfast was divine sitting outside in the morning sun, Oswald was helpful and served us with a smile. Despite load shedding Beth managed to get some laundry done for us that afternoon as we were due to leave the next morning - just another example of going above and beyond.

Beth and her team could not have been more friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room was light, bright and airy with a very comfortable bed. The breakfasts were delicious, healthy and filling and the location is perfect. Beth gave us great recommendations for restaurants etc and even dropped us off when we couldn’t get a taxi. She went out of her way to make our stay memorable. I would highly recommend White Lodge Guest House

We stayed for 6 nights and had a very pleasant stay in a beautiful room. The breakfasts were excellent and Beth and her team were most friendly and helpful, as well as super efficient. It is a very pleasant B & B with high standards. There is easy access to Constantia Shopping Centre by foot. The rooms situated round the courtyard are peaceful. There is a swimming pool in the garden.

We needed to be close to Constantiaberg Mediclinc and with amenities as everything needed to be done by Uber and on foot. White Lodge Constantia ticked every single box : safety, cleanliness, easy, and simply lovely. Special mention goes to Beth who showed us tremendous kindness and support to ensure we get to our medical appointments successfully when Uber/Bolts just simply failed us. Very often, these values are what made the accommodation away from home, home. 5 star.
