Anet was poorly when we arrived but as soon as she was up and about came to greet us. Room was very spacious with en suite supplied with complimentary toiletries. Good breakfast cooked to order and served at a communal table where we compared travelling tips with fellow guests. Anet supplied pool towels and we made use of the loungers. Parking is behind a secure gate. Hope to visit them again if we ever make Cap Town again.

Beautiful, safe setting with exceptional rooms. The hosts are warm, welcoming, friendly, accommodating and they go out of their way to make you feel at home. The breakfast served is wonderful and way more than expected. The rooms make you feel like you are in some fancy hotel.

Thank you for a peaceful and quiet stay which felt like home. Love the location, everything I needed was in the room, love the dogs. Apologies for leaving my broken bag, trust Murphy to interfere! Wonderful hosts Anette and Alan, best of wishes to you both for lots of blessings.

We had the most wonderful stay at Caxton Manor. Anet and Alan such welcoming friendly hosts. Nothing was too much for them.
Beautifully appointed rooms, comfortable beds and lovely bathrooms.
Anyone with a sense of humour please ask Alan about his BB & B.
Will definitely contact Anet again when we next in Cape Town.
Thankyou Anet and Alan

We were disrespected by establishment owner.

After our first night at Caxton Manor, we were wrongly accused of burning the carpets it have fan heater. We were not happy with this and requested to sleep one more night and sign out the following day. Alan ( owner) was uncooperative and asked us to leave at 11:00pm at that night. As we were not in the premises at the time of our request, Allan took the opportunity to inform us that he was kicking us out, and went as far as invading our privacy, and packing our bags in our absence and throwing our bags out of the room. We found our bags outside the manor. This was not at all professional very disrespectful. As the OWNER of the establishment we feel that Alan did not conduct anything in a calm or dignified manner that was in the interest of the guest....

We are thoroughly dissatisfied and appalled by Caxton Manors disrespect towards us as customers. Such behavior we doubt is fitting of a "4 star" rated establishment.

The review "Wrongfully thrown out by B&B owner" omits certain pertinent facts 1. The guests arrived late on a Sunday evening without a booking 2. The carpet was burnt by an electric heater that was switched on face down on the carpet. 3. The guests denied damaging the carpet, but admitted using the heater. 4. The guests elected to leave and check out because they "felt awkward" 5. The guests insisted on a full refund, including the day that they had stayed 6. In order to resolve the issue we offered them a 50% refund (against all policy) if they checked out that evening. 7. After numerous phone calls and consultations, eventually at 11pm I packed their belongings and finally requested them to leave. 8. We had a private security company and the S A Police at our house because of the disturbance caused by the guests( in addition to insults and abuse) on the evening in question. 9. We are awaiting the guests banking details in order to effect the refund, which to date the guests refuse to provide. 10. The carpet that was burnt has been replaced at our cost, despite the fact that the guests signed an admission of liability for damages other than normal wear and tear.

Nice place and nice hospitality. The biggest drawback is that the whole house smell of dog and the carpet in my room was full of doghair. There was also droppings in the garden area. You are dependent on having a car. It's situated just between CT and Muizenberg. Quiet area.

Positive: Anet and Allan are extremely accommodating - our earlier check-in was not a problem and we even received a room upgrade! The room was spacious, modern and comfortable with Wifi and DSTV. Free breakfast is included and the environment/setting is very homely - the breakfast even tasted exactly how my Mom would make it! There is a lovely pool and common room and safe indoor parking. Great value for money in Constantia, will definitely return when in the area again!

Negative: It would be nice to have had a bottle of water in the room - we had small glasses that we could fill at the bathroom tap, and we hadn't thought to buy a bottle of water beforehand. We were still happy to drink the tap water, however I don't know how others or foreigners might feel about this?...

My stay at Caxton Manor was amazing. The guesthouse is situated in a very quiet neighbour. Ideally good for people travelling for business or want some quiet time. There is not much to do in Constantia.

The room was small but very clean. I would definitely recommend Caxton Manor to friends and family.
