This place is beautifull with a breath-taking view. Our room was on the ground floor level, was extremely spacious and very nicely furnished, the bathroom is also extremely spacious and the outside shower was a delight.
Super comfy beds.
Location is tucked away from everything, most restaurants etc are at least 15 min driving distance.
The only slight down side we can mention is that the breakfast didnt quite meet expectations, Especiaaly the choices of warm eggs etc did not match the price of the stay, plating & portions could have been a lot better.
But would definately return

After a 2-week stay with lots of active experiences, we treated ourselves to 3 days of rest near Cape Town at the end. The location is ideal and quiet if you have a car. The proximity to the Constantia Groot wine estate invites to a fine dinner and excellent wine.
Elijah, the manager of the hotel has an excellent sense of service and reads every wish of the guests from their eyes. The Lion room is tastefully decorated and offers a breathtaking view. The only thing to change are the mattresses, they are a bit worn out. The pool is well maintained and a welcome cooling. The breakfast is sensational and during the day there is a varied selection of drinks for self-service, which are then charged at the end of the stay.
Many thanks Elijah for the good care and the exciting conversations. We can gladly recommend the Villa Lion View.

This property was luxurious & cozy all at the same time. Neat, tidy and great amenities. Breakfast is 5-star as well as the in house bar service / gas barbecue for our own use/ fire place and pool area social area/ sauna/ room amenities. A huge highlight was Elijah (manager) and his hospitality, from the moment we arrived he had such a great professionally friendly energy and was super efficient with our requests, not to mention the whole team were perfect at making our stay a memorable one and certainly not the last. The perfect spot to find relaxation all in the comfort of the property without having to go anywhere. Spend all day by the pool, have an in house massage followed by sauna. The location is also great - nearby grocery stores and not too far from town or Hout Bay.

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was the most comfortable I was my entire holiday! Martin was our host and he made sure we had everything we needed. He even helped us out to print off a document we needed. Breakfast was delicious (and plentiful) which Martin made sure we had a good breakfast no matter how early we were going to depart for activities. The Villa is near a lot of wineries so staying here and doing wine tastings is a perfect long weekend. I just can't express how luxurious and relaxing this Villa is and I would love to come back here and stay longer. Thanks for everything Martin and good luck!

We saw the beautiful photos on their site and TA. We could see all rooms had a nice view of the valley. We booked a room for two nights. On arrival we were taken to room 7 (Zebra). This room has on one hand a view of the roofs of the other rooms and of the parking lot on the other side. From terras you have al very small view into the valley. There are no pictures of this room on their site, TA or Booking.com! This room was very disappointing because it did not match with the photos. We told this to the lady who brought us to the room. She couldn't change this. Since there is no manager present, the communication did not go so well. After our complaint that we were not satisfied with this room, "Peter" was called. This is the owner. It turned out that all other rooms were occupied (we had already reserved the first week of January! when there were no reservations!), as people had stayed longer and some other reasons (friends from Germany). Okay now their problem became our problem! Peter eventually gave an acceptable solution for both parties.
If you want to check out early, please report this to the breakfast boy as no one is available to take care of the final bill. This person must "come from the valley". The location and decor of this hotel is beautiful. However, our start was not pleasant.

This was an exceptional time for us - From the moment we arrived we felt nurtured and the staff bent over backwards to fulfil our every need in this truly magnificent 5 star boutique hotel, situated among prestigious real estate and bordering wine farms, hiking and green belt trails. The rooms are luxuriously spacious and exquisitely appointed and every facility we required was at hand. From the rim flow pool to the sauna and outside showers and the endless ever changing views, this venue is magnificent If looking for an upmarket destination in the Cape - Look no further ! thank you for an incredible interlude in time

Stunning place with beautiful views. Well kept and very clean. The sauna was a treat! The mini bar is ridiculously expensive and the host wasn’t the most hospitable. It left us feeling like we were intruding which took away from us freely enjoying the place

We are overwhelmed by the quality of the hotel, the staff and the attention to detail. It is beautifully decorated, immaculately clean ( housekeeping is the best we’ve experienced!) breakfast could not fail to satisfy every need, its delicious and everything fresh daily. Fresh fruit in the rooms daily, consideration of every possible customer need… we can’t praise it enough ! 5 nights at the end of our 4 week stay, close proximity to fabulous wine estates and very easy by car or taxi.

Elijah is the most friendly, helpful, diligent and conscientious manager we’ve experienced anywhere! We love smaller boutique hotels for the tranquility and closer relationship with locals. This is absolutely the hotel that we will book for our next return 2024&25! Can’t wait to see the new development with Gym & Bar, even more to enjoy. Thank you to all at Lions view!

I can't say enough about Lion View, as it's changed my perspective on the best place/area to stay in CPT. The accommodations are absolutely 1st class. Martin & Leigh are tremendous hosts who ensure that every need is met. The breakfasts are to die for, and you just can't match the view (from the heated salt water infinity pool!). If you're looking to relax in luxury, centrally located to everything in CPT, you've found your place. Don't miss it!

This place is simply amazing. Beautiful view and very trendy rooms! I would recommend the hotel to offer more service at the pool and also options for lunch and dinner. The price you pay though is very good for what you get, but you could ask for more if you would add more service. For the rest, simply one of the best hotels we have seen!
