This was our third visit to Little House, and we were anxious to show it off to my Canadian sister, travelling with us as part of her birthday celebrations. She was impressed with the beautifully furnished public rooms, tranquil garden and pool area and realised it is the ideal location for exploring Cape Town and environs.
We usually have The Loft apt., but our downstairs rooms were clean and well appointed with tea and coffee facilities and small fridges. Although there are several items on the breakfast bar, including warm muffins, it is primarily Continental style, if you do not eat eggs, as neither my sister nor I does. Tessa, Jasper and staff all helped with decorating the breakfast table with the balloons, banners, etc. I had brought from the UK and making reservations for us for tea at The Mount Nelson for my sister's birthday treat. Thank you so much.

Beautiful Guesthouse in leafy Constantia, tastefully decorated, close to shopping centre, restaurants and autoroutes. Tessa and Jasper are charming hosts who do not live onsite but are available daily for all needs. Very clean, elegant, extremely well-thought out, lovely garden with pool. Onsite parking behind motorised gates. One feels safe and secure. Really gorgeous place to stay when in Cape Town.

Wow and wow when we walked into this lovely guest house. Its amazing beautifully furnished and then we saw the veranda overlooking the beautiful garden and pool area just stunning setting ,we were speechless ,our hosts were amazing couldn’t ask for better .We stayed in the little cottage in the grounds which was lovely ,well thought out as it was a small area but we had all we needed a kitchen area with cupboards and fridge cooker all the cutlery, pans crockery etc ,nice compact shower area ,nice quality towels ,couldn’t fault a thing.what we loved was the nice relaxed feel ,there were other guests obviously but it was so quiet and there were different areas to relax inside and out so everyone could have their own space, there was parking within the grounds and electric gates so very secure and nice quiet area but not far to the local mall about 5 mins by car .we would definitely stay here again ,when we go back to SA next year and stay longer

Limited breakfast options for the price. Asked for a toasted cheese sandwich and was told they only serve eggs for breakfast. Smelly towels. Hostess not attentive to my requirements, reminded me that I was in a guest house and had to deal with it.

Hi Yasmeen, we are disappointed that you felt that way about your stay. Our breakfast includes fresh fruit salad, various breads, cheeses, cereal, honey, fruit juice, tea, coffee, muesli, yoghurts and boiled, scrambled, poached or fried eggs. We can also do an egg omelet on request. For a small guesthouse this seems like an ample selection. When you requested a toasted cheese we actually said we don't usually do them, but we could do a plain one using the cheese that was available, which included cheddar cheese, and you said no you didn't want that. Regarding the "smelly" towels - the towels are washed when they are put in the wash basket, and of course when the guest leaves any used towels are washed for the next guest. The loft where you stayed has 6 towels available to use, i find it strange that one never mind all of them were "smelly". If this was the case you should have let us know and we would have attended to it. Regards Management Little House

Tess and Jasper off a great homely experience and are the standard for bed and breakfast. The entire property is gorgeous and offers a vibe that makes you feel right at home. You wouldn't want to leave after your first night. All of the rooms have a different feel and have their own bathroom. The daily breakfast in the morning on the patio is an awesome start to the day. It was a little chilly when we visited so we did not use the pool but it is awesome back drop for pictures at night. The safety and security of the gate is a great feature to make you feel secure. It is just amazing all around! They are so helpful in all aspects of your trip.

We spent 3 nights in The Loft (self catering) but there are also B&B rooms
Just lovely - don’t miss out on using the facilities downstairs - the poolside relaxation reading a book on beautiful lawn under oak trees is sublime. The decor is tasteful and creates a welcoming ambiance. Just a good place to be quiet and chill close to the City but closer to the forest and a quick drive over to
Hour Bay. A few 100m from Alphen trail which is a very safe beautiful trail for runners and walkers - it’s a must. Take a left turn from the gate into Brommersvlei and then a right into LeSeur and you find yourself at the entry point for a multitude of trails in the forest through the green belt. Close to Constantia Village with plenty of supermarkets and upmarket shopping
Quick to get onto M3 and into the Southern Suburbs
Spotless interior and garden with daily servicing
WiFi great
Tessa and Jasper are super hosts

Situated in the leafy suburb of Constantia the Little House offered everything we required from a B&B. It is superbly decorated, spotlessly clean and has a stunning garden/pool. A good continental breakfast is provided. It was the perfect location for seeing the sights of Cape Town and also the sights to the south (ie Cape Point, Cape of Good Hope, Boulders Beach etc,). We stayed at the beginning and end of a 3-week holiday and enjoyed every minute. All credit to Tessa and her team - if we ever return to Cape Town this would be our choice! Highly recommended.

Tessa and Jasper are perfect hosts. Prior to our arrival, they had emailed us detailed directions to their property in Constantia, our favourite part of Cape Town. It is quiet and residential but close to major roads, shops and restaurants. We had the Loft apt. with its own entrance, deck, loungers and picnic table, with views of the mountains beyond. The room itself was spacious, with sofas, fully equipped kitchen, large bedroom with plenty of storage space and ensuite. Everything was immaculate. Breakfast was personalised, generous and beautifully presented, served on the main patio, overlooking the lovely pool and well maintained gardens.
We had a minor medical emergency on our first morning, and Tessa was on it immediately, and the crisis resolved ASAP. Thank you!
Due to the unexpectedly high temperatures and drought during our stay, the a/c in the bedroom was struggling to cope, so Jasper went out, sourced, bought and installed a new unit to help improve our sleep quality.
We would return and highly recommend.
