Take breakfast on the balcony overlooking Constantia Glenn wine farm, then go wine tasting. Table mountain national park and the wild baboons are across the road and not far from the incredible botanical gardens. Hire a car to easily reach Chapman’s Peak, Simonstown, Kalk bay and Boulder Beach with the endangered African penguins. However, what will keep me coming back is the host, a wonderful lady called Käthe. A fantastic local guide, Michelin-standard chef, and all round decent human being.
We had a one night stay here recently. What a beautiful guest house with the warmest welcome. We stayed while visiting nearby La Colombe for dinner - it’s brilliantly located for this. We stayed in the zebra room which was stunning and the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and all the staff were kind and courteous. You felt like it was home away from home. Hope we can revisit soon!
We had a very pleasant stay at Ikhaya Safari Lodge and will come back next time we are in SA The host was very kind and we had a fabulous time at the lodge. Lovely breakfast at the terrasse with a fab view over the mountains and wineyards. Staff very kind too. We used the tennis court which we can recommend.
We stayed five nights at this beautiful lodge in Constantia, with the best view ever and excellent staff. Great compliments for Käthe, the general manager, who immediately feels like a friend. She solves every problem and has valuable tips for restaurants and excursions. The rooms are beautifully decorated, with good beds and wifi, fridge and very neat and stylish bathrooms. The breakfast is perfect, with fresh fruit salads every day, and everything you wish. Swimming and tennis is possible, but just chilling on the big veranda is great too! Thank you again, Käthe and team, we'll soon be back again!
