We spent 5 nights in Himmelblau and felt completely at home. The rooms and the common room (large breakfast table and sofa corner) were very clean, comfortable and lovingly and tastefully decorated. The only small downside: the noises from the breakfast room can be easily heard in the room, which meant that we were unable to sleep in. The pool area is perfect for relaxing and the small seating area belonging to the room even has an outside shower. We were even able to have our laundry washed.
The hosts Katrin and Claus gave us lots of valuable tips for our stay in Cape Town. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

It was a great stroke of luck to be able to spend the first four days of our trip to South Africa in the sky blue at Katrin & Claus. It is a refuge to be relied upon after a
eventful day in Cape Town.
Breakfast is served daily in new variants, the delicious fresh surprises are topped with various egg dishes at Claus' request. We benefited greatly from the tips of the two, both in Cape Town and for our behavior during the following weeks in the Western Cape. We spent a wonderful 14 days with Katrin and Claus in the B & B Himmelblau. The accommodation was even better than described. Breakfast was lovingly prepared every morning and much of it was even homemade. Our room was well equipped with everything you need and was cleaned daily.
Katrin and Claus always took time for their guests and were approachable at any time.
The B & B Himmelblau is quite centrally located in a safe area. You can walk to Long Street in about 15 minutes.
There is a delicious pizzeria a few meters down the street and the Gardens shopping center is also within walking distance.
We felt like we were at home with friends. You can't ask for more than that!

We stayed 3 nights in the sky blue and could not have found a better start for our South African tour! Claus and Katrin are great hosts who run their B&B with love and passion. The common room, where you also have breakfast, is very aesthetic and spaciously designed, in addition there is a nice outdoor area with a small pool. Delicious breakfast and always helpful tips on what to do in Cape Town are on top. We felt very comfortable in the sky blue and can recommend this B&B wholeheartedly.

Katrin and Claus have been wonderful hosts in their beautiful B&B location. Breakfast buffet is A+ and the room has been cozy, clean, and very well designed. I especially loved the privat outdoor shower - in addition to the inside shower/bathroom. Location is only a 10min UBER drive away from the Capetown Waterfront and/or about 20min to Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. The house is tucked into an area that felt safe to walk down the street to the nearby Gardens Shopping Center.

We had three wonderful days in Himmelblau. The guesthouse is modern and lovingly furnished and the two hosts Katrin and Claus are the very best hosts. The wonderful breakfast, which leaves nothing to be desired, is also worth mentioning. Both are happy to keep you company and give good tips for exploring everything in and around Cape Town. The guesthouse is located on a quiet street. We felt very comfortable all around and would love to come back.
