Very friendly staff with knowledge of town and things to do. Super fine breakfast in outside patio. Clean rooms with good beds and a nice balcony for general use where you can drink your cold beer after a long trip.

We had a lovely stay at the number5 guesthouse and Marie was very helpful in suggesting restaurants, bars and things to do. The location is great as just around the corner is Kloof street with lots of brunch / dinner options which is very popular with young South Africans. Thank you!

I had a great time at the guest house, and felt right at home. The property is very central yet on a quiet street, steps away fro de Waal park in one direction and Kloof street and its cafes and restaurants in the other. The owner and staff are lovely :)

I was in Cape Town on business for a full 7 weeks. Having the right place to stay was so important. Number5 Guesthouse is the BEST. Great staff (Marie and Sandra are the tops) and perfect location. Breakfast was always filling and any thing that I needed was provided for immediately. I highly recommend this guesthouse

Well located and quiet area in Central Cape Town. Compact but comfortable room, nice bed. Good breakfast and friendly and helpful staff. Easy to find and street parking seems secure. Good for short stays in Cape Town. It is an old house so you can hear other guests coming and going.

The staff at the guesthouse is absolutely amazing. They were so nice and helpful. Very proactive and offering more than we thought we need. Special thanks to Marie! The room was very clean. The location of the guesthouse was great. Disadvantage: the room was a bit small for 2 people with big suitcase. It was a bit cold in the room during the windy days as isolation is not the best.
