In the colorful Bo Kaap neighborhood of Cape Town there is this cute B&B whose owners are a welcoming couple Yoann and Adheera. The rooms are very well kept and tastefully furnished, as is the breakfast room, located in another building a few steps away, which is accessed from behind the B&B. Some rooms also have a small terrace. Good value for money and good advice for visiting the city.

I would like to highlight the quality of the outstanding and very warm welcome offered by all the staff who were most accommodating. We arrived early in the day and were welcomed so that we could quickly begin our stay in Cape Town (safe baggage drop-off, explanations, handover of keys, etc.) The room was very clean, king bed, good size and equipped with A/C. The location is ideal for soaking up the spirit of Cape Town being located in the Bo-Kaap district. Yoan and his team are very accommodating. Our flight was at 11 p.m. on the day of our check-out and we were allowed to leave our belongings in a secure place to enjoy the last day without hassle in addition to being able to take a shower before our departure for the airport. In short, quality room, ideal location in the city, unparalleled service from our hosts. I highly recommend!

This is our second visit to La Rose run by Yoann and Adheera in colourful, central Bo Kaap. It is a gem of cultural fusion and style. Five minutes walk from some of the best restaurants in town.
There is a full breakfast where guests sit at the table together with Yoann. The conversations are wonderful and it's a great time to get advice on how to make the best of the day. Staff are friendly and share a tip box kept at reception. No need to tip individuals. Also in reception is a QR code which uses WhatsApp which links to Yoann's phone, lists of restaurants, safety advice and what to see.

The property is located in the Bo Kaap area, and is one of the famous colorful houses. It consists of two areas/buildings with 2/3 rooms each. There is a common area where breakfast is served in the morning (which I honestly thought was poor) and the owner of French origin entertains the guests. There were 4 of us and we were offered a triple room (with a French bed but for the two boys), which I found very small and uncomfortable: we didn't even have room to open a suitcase. Just outside the gate during the night there is a guard who guards the street considering that the area is full of homeless people (but this is everywhere in Cape Town) and at least he made us feel safe when we returned from dinners. I consider it an ideal accommodation for young and unpretentious people, not very suitable for families.

It is rare that a B&B, or restaurant or other Lodge is unanimously unanimous in the same family as it is difficult to please and satisfy everyone's tastes and desires...
The Rose is one of those exceptions that proves the rule.
With its magnificent colorful facade, the Rose is not only located in the heart of Bo Kaap, it is one of the mosaic tiles of this Malay district located at the foot of Signal Hill.
Tastefully decorated and renovated, boasting all modern conveniences, this B&B is a real gem.
Perhaps a little noisy (and still) and in certain respects reminiscent of a Spanish inn, the Rose would not precisely embody the spirit of Bo Kaap.
What can we say about the warmth of the welcome (it is rare to be able to interact so easily with Yoann and his staff) and the quality of the breakfast which make this B&B the place to be!
We recommend 200% and take advantage of this message to express our thanks to the entire team for this great experience.

This place is an absolute little gem, right in the heart of the wonderful authentic and colourful Bo-Kaap. Perfect for walking just about anywhere in the city. The hosts were brilliant, welcoming and a wealth of knowledge. We tried out almost all of their recommendations and were not disappointed. Breakfast time is key to meet you with other guests, and the hosts, to gather everyone's ideas and thoughts on what they have seen and done. Plus, breakfast is delicious homemade yoghurt, fruit, fresh bread, eggs, homemade jam, mango juice and fresh coffee which is perfect to start the day off right. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are wonderful in helping to keep the place looking great and making us feel safe and looked after! We highly recommend!

A great B&B to enjoy this wonderful city. The place is great, the staff are lovely and the facilities are very good. We felt safe, comfortable and very well taken care of. And the breakfast is great! It is a set of houses joined by a common courtyard, each room with its bathroom, very comfortable beds and lots of light. It is a very quiet place, where you can rest after a day of visiting.

We absolutely loved our stay at La Rose where we welcomed by Yoann. Yoann is a great host who took time to give us some local tips which was really appreciated. We also enjoyed the shared breakfast with other guests where we were able to learn more on how things go in South Africa and Cape Town specifically thanks to Yoann. It was also nice to be able to talk French with Yoann. It was the perfect way for us to end our almost 4 week honeymoon through South Africa. Breakfast was also amazingly good!

The driver organised by the hotel was waiting for me at arrivals and as it was 10.00pm we reached La rose in the heart of the historic Bo-Kaap quarter in 20 minutes. The room was very clean and comfortable and it was a joy to be able to sleep with a window open after away from the hostile bugs of other tougher parts of Africa. Bread freshly baked on the premises, excellent coffee and a perfectly cooked omelette made for memorable breakfasts. Most guests choose to join the communal table presided over by our genial host Yoann who is a fund of advice and information. He pointed out that my intention to go to the Cape of Good Hope on the Sunday was impossible because of the Great cycle race but said it could still be done on my final day. He sorted out a tour company who completed a memorable trip(amazing coastal drive to the Point and back via the penguins) just in time to go to the airport. Thank you Yoann.
