Lovely place, we did miss the muffins that were advertised for breakfast. Apparently they hadn't dropped them off or something along those lines. But it was a really great experience. Lovely aesthetic in the outside courtyard area etc. Kind staff. Lovely friendly cat :)

Stayed for two nights. Very friendly and welcoming staff.
I stayed in the dorm room. Was nicely laid out.
Excellent bedding, slept so well :) Only thing is the noise from the road, One might need earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Whether you're a tourist or traveling on business, Wish U Were Here Cape Town Hotel is a great choice for accommodation when visiting Cape Town. I would recommend Wish U Were Here as holiday accommodation. Rooms were neat and tidy. Bathrooms were clean. There was not that much noise from other guests. They also provided free breakfast which was a bonus.

We stayed with 6 people in WUWH. We had 2 droms with 4 beds. The dorms had not much space and it was not very comfortable to stay their for 5 days with 5 suitcases on the floor.
The kitchen was very dirty and not even fully equiped, so cooking was a no go for us.
We had breakfast included but it was really poor. Always eggs with something and brown bread. And if you want water instead of coffee and tea you must pay for it... so we bought our own breakfast for the days.
WUWH is located in Woodstock, 5-10 minutes driving from waterfront in Cape Town. That was very handy. But it is also a neighborhood where you don’t want to walk alone as a foreigner. Not even during the day. We had a few times that a homeless man or woman came to us to ask money and just followed us when we did not want to give her or him money. It’s also a very noisy around the hotel because of cars, people screaming and so on...
WUWH as his own parking, but be aware! If you have a big car like a 8-9 seater you will probably have problems to get in or out because the car will touch the ground by going and there is not much space to manouver in the parking. So be carefull!
The people of WUWH were very friendly, and helpfull at all times.

We are very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay with us and I am very confused to hear that you did not receive your complimentary breakfast...Did you go down to our restaurant in the morning? That is where the breakfast is served and it is very tasty, so I am sorry you missed out on it.

A little urban gem if you want something unique and non-cookie cutter...only a few steps from the Biscuit Mill and Woodstock shops...and very affordable (+/- R700/night)...this is it. I was lured by the online photos of the "boat room' but unfortunately it was not available. Stayed in a double en suite instead, which was okay. Large, clean and private with entrance onto veranda with distant view of UCT campus and above the din of the busy street down below. There are bunk rooms with shared bath and spacious en suite rooms - each unique. I particularly love the rustic-artsy blend of stain-painted walls, raw wood headboards and concrete. If you are looking for 5-star pristine quiet haven with daily maid service and view of the sea or Table Mountain, this is not it. This is funky boutique meets backpacker. Carpets are faded and worn in the hallways and there a hum of traffic from the street below - but the rooms are very spacious and clean with crisp white linens. Staff is very friendly and relaxed. There is a bar-common area where you can get a cold beer. Don't expect a wide selection of wine. White or red, nothing fancy. Breakfast is simple and cooked fresh by a friendly staffer - cereal/milk, omelet/eggs and toast, hot coffee or tea. Parking is available for an additional R30/night in a secure locked lot below the office/rooms. There was construction materials making the lot more cramped than usual, as they are building a restaurant on the ground floor. Should be better/cleaner to park after they are done and the building things cleared out. Laundry service on site for R70/basket. I will definitely book here again, but ahead of time so I can get the turquoise walled "boat room" (Queen en suite).

We stayed in one of the bungalows. There isn't much space, but it's alright. A bit cold at night, no heating. The shared bathroom is stylish and clean. The bar and breakfast are very good. The staff is amazing, very friendly and helpful. They call you taxis and stuff. The location in Woodstock is good, close to the Old Biscuit Mall, where you find exclusive boutiques and nice cafés. The wifi doesn't connect inthe bungalows, though.

Hi Bryan,
It would take you about 20min to get to Lion's Head by car and about 15min to get to Kirstenbosch, from which you can hike Table Mountain.
Regards,
Emma
