Unbelievable!! Great people and great location. Very warm and inviting and safe. Nice rooms. If you are the type of people that DO NOT want to stay in a hotel like you could get in any city in the States, this is the place for you. The waterfront area is very touristy and won't give you a good feel for the City. Olafs is in a great location. 30 min walk to the water front if you wish to go, along the ocean pathway. Close to great restaurants and easy to get to other areas of town. Rooms were well appointed and staff accommodating.

We travelled to Cape Town with a group of 12 people, we stayed in this lovely guesthouse for four nights and it has been perfect! in the evening we had the whole place for ourselves and could spend time in the lovely common rooms. It has been like being at home but with the advantages of always having perfectly clean and tidy rooms, a great breakfast and complete availability from the staff. Hazel, in particular, has always been very careful to our needs and very present, but at the same time very professional. We totally recommend to stay here if you want to spend a holiday visiting Cape Town and at the same time being a step away from the incredible Ocean views the area offers.

I had an excellent experience with exceptional friendly hostess who made my break away easy.The service i received was excellent. The hostess was always their with her friendluness.The room was kept impeccable by the staff. The Guest house is situated ideally near the beach and central to amenities. A Big thank you to the staff.

From the moment I arrived and was greeted by Hazei l knew I was in for a very enjoyable stay. Hazel along with all the staff are so warm & welcoming. My room was spacious, bright, quiet and spotlessly clean. In addition, the little extra touches did not go unnoticed...comfortable bedding, nice toiletries, a fruit basket and real wooden hangers(not mismatched wire ones). The breakfast was truly outstanding and offered everything one could hope for and more. Everything was so fresh & delicious and so nicely presented. Olaf's is perfectly located on a quiet side street a block from the seafront and close to numerous eating establishments and shops. Go at once and enjoy a very special place!.

I love Olafs Guesthouse from start to finish. Next time i would love to be in Chapman Peak. My favorite place to stay.i just think you should update you duvet inners. mine was incredibly thin. look into down duvet inners it will take your place to the next level.

Hello Joseph, The summer duvets are that thin as most Europeans don't even want them but rather just a flat sheet. Down duvet is not liked by most as they have allergies against feathers. We do have down duvets but only on request. Best Raymond

It was a pleasure to stay at Olaf’s guesthouse. I stayed there about 6 years ago for the first time and still after this long time it was wonderful again. Very friendly, nice and calm place. Good location for Cape Town to explore. I can recommend this place very much.

I have just spent two nights at Olaf’s guest house and found it to be very comfortable. The room is small but well equipped and the front courtyard is peaceful with a lovely little swimming pool. Breakfast was excellent - I just found the coffee disappointing. It would also have been nice to have some fresh milk with my coffee or tea in my room.

Great location , near hop on hop off bus. great breakfast , unfortunately had to have a roll every morning lol, was excellent! near restaurants, 35-45 enjoyable minute walk to the water front from the guest house, really couldn't ask for more. Only thing I would do differently is NOT use booking.com as they were deceitful about free transport.

Olaf's is a good alternative to a hotel for a vacation in Cape Town. The staff is pleasant and helpful. Raymond went out of his way to meet our needs including arranging transportation when needed. The inn is located on a quiet street in the Seapoint district. Like all of Cape Town, you are always aware of personal security issues when out and about but the facility itself is well secured. We felt very comfortable when in our room or in the garden. Our room was small but comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast was very good. We had a rental car which we parked on the street in front of the inn with no problems.
