Detailed Reviews
I have just returned from a week's stay at 2inn1 and can truly say that it is the best hotel in which I have stayed......ever.
From the moment I was greeted at the gate on arrival, and my bag taken from the car, I was made to feel so very welcome. This was a feeling which would last my entire stay, with absolutely nothing being a problem for the staff, and every request catered for.... unquestionably.
My room was perfect and had the most awesome views of Table Mountain, Lion's Head and Signal Hill. To wake up in the morning and have a coffee on the terrace, looking at these amazing sights just took my breath away.....every day.
The decoration and facilities in the room were exceptionally well thought out. Providing a cell phone is an inspired idea. The wi-fi, throughout the house, is complimentary, with a very strong signal which never failed once during my stay. The bed was huge and, together with the high quality linens, was intensely comfortable. Nightly turn-down service was discrete and made for a welcoming return to the room after an evening in Cape Town.
Breakfast is so laid back and comforting, with a large assortment of food to start your day. Hot food is cooked to perfection. The tiny grilled tomatoes were the sweetest I have ever eaten and the entire, unrushed start to the day was simply unrivalled.
The atmosphere during the day is amazingly restful and, certainly for me, the absence of any children was a massive bonus and contributed to the superbly comforting ambience.
There are not enough words to describe how friendly, accommodating and helpful all the staff are, particularly in recommending restaurants or places to go, and making the booking for you and printing out menus and directions. The whole process of deciding what to do in the evening is made all the more pleasant while drinking a sundowner on the terrace as the sun sets. Truly magical.
It must be incredibly hard work to make 2inn1 the special place that it is, but all the staff make it look so effortless. Thank you for creating a piece of paradise in one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited, and for making it a truly special place to stay. The memories which were made during my week there will remain with me for ever. Thank you.

I have been everywhere around the world, Los Angeles, Florida, London, Beijing, shanghai, Frankfurt, Munich, Hong Kong, Montreal, Lagos and the list goes on. I never knew there is a place on earth where you can get these type of attention to detail and most professional/friendly services. The staff are excellent, breakfast is to die for and one hotel that will not pack breakfast until all clients have eaten. Yes, my darling love to sleep in and they leave everything out until we eat. Evidently, we came back after a brief stay in Franchhoek. Yes, we will be back again. Kudos to all of you at 2inn1.

2Inn1Kensington was our welcome to South Africa - and what a welcome! We stayed here for five nights and loved every second of it. It has left me dreaming of wanting to live in Oranjezicht. The house itself speaks of glossy architectural magazines. It is an old Victorian house that has been redesigned with such immaculate taste to represent the original mixed with stylish, high class contemporary. I just loved it. The guest rooms are mostly in an adjacent bungalow, also stylish, comfortable and chic. The staff were faultless. The wonderful Stephanie, who manages 2inn1, and was doing such a fantastic job in the absence of Chris and Klaus, looked after our every need. Nothing was too much trouble. She greeted us each day wanting to know what our plans were and how she could be of any help in facilitating them. She recommended some fabulous restaurants, made reservations, and booked taxis when necessary. She took care of my mail, always gave us maps and detailed directions for places we wished to visit. Every evening she was keen to hear about our day's adventures, and the staff always graciously ensured that we did not miss our complimentary sundowners, for which, by the way, they serve some excellent local wines.
Our room was perfect. It had everything we needed, was quiet, comfortable, had a super shower, nice touches such as air freshener in the bathroom, complimentary notebook in our room, which became my journal for the next three weeks, turn down service at night, plenty of tea and coffee supplies, a safe, lots of fresh towels, soaps, etc. We never wanted for anything. Our balcony was superb. Two fantastic views, in front and to the side. We could see the cable cars going up and down Table Mountain. It was nice to sit out there and just enjoy being in Africa.
The breakfasts were out of this world. Used to European and North American continental breakfasts, whereby you get a croissant or a piece of toast, and that is it, a South African continental breakfast is a feast everyone should experience at least once. Smoked salmon for breakfast! An assortment of cheeses, perhaps eight different types of bread to choose from, platters of fresh fruits, yoghurts, cereals, hams, salamis, juices, smoked mackerel, And then there is somebody at your elbow asking you if you would like something cooked as well.
We had another two plus weeks of vacation in South Africa after we left 2inn1, including a safari, but I was very sorry to leave here. Stephanie came right out into the road to wave goodbye to us. Only close family or friends have ever made us feel more welcome, anywhere, at any time.
I am now wondering how soon it will be before we can return to Cape Town and 2inn1Kensington, because there is nowhere else in Cape Town that I will be wanting to stay.

+1
We spent 10 days in 2inn1 Kensington over the Christmas / New Year period end of 2007 and we are soooo happy that we chose 2inn1 as our base for exploring this fantastic city.
When I booked in February 07, only one review was existing from 'Ken The Hague', who was the first person to write about this great inn. Believe it or not, when we were there, Ken and family were again visiting this place... and we easily can understand why.
We have been traveling a lot in our lives and were always looking for quite intimate, trendy places with a good level of service and 2inn1 surpassed all our expectations.
Let's start with the location : 2inn1 is located in a very upmarket, quiet, safe and residential area, and yet a few kilometers from major sights. A bit too far to do everything on foot, but a taxi ride to Waterfront or Camps Bay / Clifton is not more then a couple of euros. 2inn1 was our tranquil haven we enjoyed to return to after an active day. The magnificent views on Table Mountain and Lion's Head and the complementary sundowners contributed to this feeling as well.
There are only 8 or 9 rooms, located in 2 buildings : 5 rooms are situated in the more modern annex and 3 or 4 are situated in the Victorian villa. They are categorized as 'standard' and 'luxury' : although quality of finishing, decoration, and furniture are exactly the same, the luxury rooms will offer more space and / or a better view. One of the 5 rooms in the modern building is a large suite and proved to be very useful for families. This suite occupies much of the lower level (street level) of this modern building. The other 4 rooms in the modern building were on the higher level (pool level) and had nice balconies or terraces, looking out over the quiet street towards a green park and Lion's Head.
We were staying in the Victorian building and had a large luxury room with direct access to pool area (see attached pics). We were very happy with it ! Our room had a private terrace as well, but we did not use it a lot since sun loungers and public terrace was only meters away. On top of our room was another luxury room which had a beautiful private terrace with good views on Table Mountain and Lion's Head. In the same building were then 1 or 2 more rooms, but didn't really see them, so cannot comment.
Architecture of rooms and communal areas is truly fabulous and exactly how we would picture perfection : modern with neutral grey and brown colours, contrasted with a very vivid green in many details which prevented a too 'cold' impression. This type of green was used in a very consequent way : from table decoration, to details in furniture, art, outfits of personnel, napkins...I forgot to ask how they ever managed to find all these things containing exactly that type of green... Very stylish !
But what truly makes 2inn1 such a special place is the good care, sympathy, professionalism and personal approach of Klaus, Chris, Saadiqah and all other employees. They succeeded to make us feel so comfortable and special. And I am sure that this feeling is shared by all other guests, since everybody always seemed in such a good mood. We spoke a lot to other guests and not once did we hear the slightest complaint... we all felt so privileged to be there and to be part of such a wonderful ambiance.
Chris, Klaus and all others : keep up the good work and a big thanks for all the nice memories ! You can count on it to see us again !!

Being honest: we are regulars in this hotel since 2011, and we will come back, definitely. Why? Because here you will find spacious and clean rooms (everything is working, problems will be solved promptly), a service at the top of perfection which helps you in all directions: restaurants, excursions, tips etc. And if you might sleep somewhat longer: there is no time out for breakfast. And this year the have refurbished the whole hotel with high quality interior equipment, integrating African decor as well as artisanal elements you will not find elsewhere. The welcome was as familiar as expected, the room larger than expected, we were somewhat overwhelmed by the impressions we had (comparing these with the last stay). Breakfast fine, checkout fast. Also noteworthy: 24/7 staff on duty, security staff at night, wonderful pool heated by the sun, 2 outside lounge areas with magnificent views on table mountain, lions head and signal hill. The owners take care personally, and nearly the whole staff is here as long as I can overlook, having fair working conditions. So, coming back to the beginning, we definitely will return!

Was fortunate to stay two nights at the 2inn1 Kensington with my honey in a deluxe king bedroom. Two factors that set this unique property apart from the others is their superior service and long term staff that really enjoy their jobs. Because the staff is satisfied; outstanding service is the norm. Since the 2inn1 doesn’t have lots of rooms, the challenge is to obtain a reservation. Satisfied guests return annually because they know what to expect at a five star property. Services that are far above the norm are included cocktails and snacks in the evening, beverages in the rooms, concierge level local travel services, customized breakfast and all are included in the daily rate.
My honey and I travel the world 60% of the year and the 2inn1 rates as one of our favorite stays. The very safe location: pool, spa and outdoor area; nicely appointed rooms; and the Owner, Klaus, Manger, Steffi and their team, makes the 2inn1 a must stay in Cape Town.

This was our first trip to South Africa and we could not have asked for a better place to spend 5 days. We stayed here based on a recommendation and we were so glad we did! The property itself is beautiful with balcony views of Table Mountain, Lion’s Head and Signal Hill. The location is in a quiet safe neighborhood yet still walking distance to the city centre.
Although the hotel is in a great location, beautiful and has all the amenities you need, it is the staff that really make this place what it is. On arrival we were welcomed by Byron and Klaus and given a plethora of information on the city, tours we could take, restaurants and anything else that we needed. Our room was a good size and the views from the balcony were outstanding!
The breakfast was a buffet with lots of options as well as a hot made to order menu with a different daily special every day and all was delicious. I recommend Vivienne’s cheese and pepper omelette! Being able to have your breakfast by the pool with the view of table mountain while you mingle with other guests was also very nice.
There are many reasons to love 2inn1 but we just keep coming back to the welcoming atmosphere that the staff bring and make you feel like family. Klaus, Byron, Steffi, Mike and the rest of the team really made our stay enjoyable and easy.
We would not want to stay anywhere else the next time we’re in Cape Town.

We stayed for the final 3 nights of our holiday at 2Inn1 Kensington and what a good choice we made. On arrival we were greeted by Steffi and our car was unloaded by staff and our luggage was quickly taken to our lovely room. We were brought drinks and Steffi then explained how things operated with the emphasis on making sure as a family, we would enjoy our stay. Steffi asked what type of food we liked and booked restaurants for us, which was a nice touch. The location is perfect being overlooked by Table Mountain and is so peaceful, allowing you to unwind and relax. Klaus and Chris were always on hand to check if everything was ok; which it definitely was. The breakfast selection is first class, along with the quality and service. The room we stayed in was spacious and had everything you could possibly need - we never used the kitchen facilities apart from the fridge as there are too many excellent places to eat within the vicinity. Reliable Wi-Fi, which always brings a huge smile to our daughters face. This is a very well run establishment and the staff are amazing (Klaus, Chris, Steffi, Vivienne, Queen, Mary, Akhona, Agrinette, Risper, Kenneth, Liston, Olili, Andile, Zuko & Eric) and they work hard - it was also always nice to see Mr Eric and Zuko when returning from dinner. A huge thanks to everyone at 2Inn1 Kensington for making our final few nights in South Africa so memorable. We will hopefully return and will stay longer next time. I hope you all enjoy your break when it arrives. Good health and best wishes - John, Angela & Elysia xxx

This was my fifth visit here, it’s better than home. Each and every member of staff is amazing nothing whatsoever is too much trouble, Claire went to trouble of preparing route plans for our trip on the garden route. The breakfast table is a feast for all tastes and preferences.
Wish could visit more often, it feels like family. To all at 2inn1 thanks so much for making us feel so welcome again xxxx

Dear Connie,
Unfortunately we are absolutely fully booked in February.
Kind regards
Claire
Dear Frances,
You can explore the city, Table Mountain, Camps Bay, Waterfront with the hop on hop off bus. The bus stop is within walking distance from us. For day tours to the surroundings as Cape of Good Hope or the Winelands we could arrange guided tours for you. We also work together with a reliable taxi company. Please contact us directly via email for any further queries. Yours 2inn1-Team
It was too cold outside to go in the pool. One gentleman out of a full house was in for about 5 minutes.....he didn't seem to have a problem getting in.
We did not know they serve food and went out by foot 10 mins walk to really good steak restaurant and many others
It's in a nice area
I really don't know the answer to this I suggest contacting the Hotel
