Detailed Reviews
For our first trip to South Africa ( and definitely not the last ! ) we chose a lovely hotel to start our tour. All the staff are really friendly. Our room had a great balcony, was very clean and well appointed. Gorgeous bathroom. The breakfasts we had were all delicious, with a lovely selections of fruits etc, and items to order were excellent. The only problem is with so much to do in Cape Town we didn't get to spend enough time at this fabulous hotel. It's a very peaceful location, and we used Uber every night to take us to the restaurants which were only 5 minutes or so away, and which were exceedingly cheap and normally arrived within 2 minutes.

First time in Cape Town and our expectations for 2Inn1 were high due to the fabulous reviews. We arrived late in the dark, so we were presented with the most wonderful view of Lion's Head first thing in the morning. Breakfast tables outside and in, with enough space to give privacy but also close enough to chat. So many guests were repeat customers (of many years), but everyone so friendly. The instantly likeable Steffi, with a great sense of humour and can do attitude, introduced herself and said after breakfast she would give us her full attention as to what she could do to enhance our trip. I can only echo those other reviews that this is a very special place. Ten beautifully appointed luxury rooms and a peaceful pool terrace area, with relaxing delicious breakfasts and light lunches. Every member of staff is delightful and helpful in any and every way. A very highly recommended location to base yourself, especially on a first visit to Cape Town. It's not often we return to places, as there is so much of the world we have not seen, but we would definitely return here. Mind you, it's a difficult place to get into such is it's deserved popularity, so book ahead.
We have tried to think of tips as first timers. The most important is to download Uber and ensure it works (scan your credit/debit card) - it is so incredibly cheap and reliable. However, you need internet access and this isn't always available around Cape Town. We discovered towards the end of our trip that some travellers had their own local sim card, and we wish we had done that.

What a pleasure to stay here! The property, the staff, the views, the location in a quiet neighborhood - all combine for a stellar experience.
If you prefer walking out of your hotel into a mob scene or eating at restaurants designed only to get tourists in and out, you may prefer the V&A Waterfront. At 2Inn1 you can sit quietly on your terrace looking at Table Mountain and Lion Head, then walk about 15 minutes to world-class restaurants catering to repeat clients.
As we arrived at the inn a woman was hugging the staff goodbye and saying “See you again next year” - lucky lady. Our room wasn’t ready, but we were kindly allowed to use one of the other rooms until it was. After the long flights from the US this was sooooooo appreciated. We also took advantage of the on-site spa that first morning - a massage and facial after hours and hours on a plane was amazing.
The inn provides guests with a cell phone preprogrammed to their phone and to trusted taxi companies, which came in handy more than once. They also have on-spot restaurant recommendations and will help you in any way they can. And the breakfast presented a great variety of quality choices, including perfectly ripe fresh fruit and the best scrambled eggs ever.
For my husband’s 70th birthday I had brought candles which I was planning to stick in a couple of crossiants, but Claus had a cheese cake and champagne ready.
All in all, I wish I could have said “See you next year “ when we left.

We booked this small boutique hotel for a week’s stay at the beginning of April based on excellent Tripadvisor reviews, but thinking can it really be as good as they say? We were not disappointed and if anything, 2inn1 Kensington exceeded our expectations.
As other reviewers have mentioned, 2inn1 is truly service orientated. Without exception the team is extraordinarily attentive, with a genuine desire to ensure your stay is relaxing and memorable. The breakfast is excellent with a wide choice of cold and cooked to order items. Complementary sundowners between 6pm-8pm were a lovely way to wind down. Claire and Steffi gave us some excellent restaurant recommendations, including booking for us and arranging taxis where needed (there are several lovely restaurants within walking distance). The local mobile in the room was a great bonus and made it easy to call for taxis when we were out and about.
The hotel is spotless and exceptionally well maintained. Most rooms have a private terrace or balcony and we loved our view of Lion’s Head and Table Mountain.
Thank you Klaus, Chris, Steffi, Claire and team for making our stay in Cape Town so enjoyable. We can’t wait to return.

We just stayed for three nights at this wonderful boutique hotel in Cape Town in March 2017 and would have liked not to leave anymore. It's very difficult to describe, what makes this place so terrific, there are so many things, such as the very warm welcome from Steffi, the helping hands from the whole staff, the daily offered drinks by the house in the evening before having dinner in one of the superb restaurants nearby, which were recommended by the staff an also booked by them, the delicious breakfast, the very well furnished, clean and lovely decorated rooms, the beautiful poolside area for relaxing, wow...!
Steffi, Claire and Chris are just the perfect hosts to run this gorgeous boutique hotel. Many thanks to the whole team. We definitely want to come back once in the future.

It has all been said in previous reviews; but believe them this a really fist class place to stay and explore CT. Great pool and very welcoming in all respects. A place you really need to experience if you can book a stay.

The minute we stepped out of the taxi to be greeted by Eric with a warm handshake & smile & "welcome back" we knew we were back in the best hotel in the world where everyone was delighted to see us again & recognised us. The rooms are lovely & the breakfasts a feast but it is the staff that make this an exceptional hotel. They seem genuinely delightd to do anything for you. Nothing is too much trouble.

We stayed at the 2inn1 for 5 nights and it was perfect! The rooms comfortable and stylish, the staff, the company, the settings, the views of table mountain and lions head from the rooms and pool, everything was first class treatment. Felt very taken care of, the staff and owners of the hotel always around to help and make you feel welcome, helping with booking meals and tours, anything you need they are happy to help! The best hotel we have stayed in of many around the world. Very sad to leave would recommend to everyone and go back a 100 times! They made our time in Cape Town! 10 out of 10.

What a gem of a place tucked away in Gardens, Cape Town.
A beautiful setting under Table Mountain. Lots of space.
Staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. Lots of useful advice.
Great spa facilities
We will definitely be returning!

Every time I read about a small place on Trip Advisor that is so well reviewed, I get a little suspicious. Is this place really the #1 hotel in Cape Town? Turns out the reviews are spot on.
What makes this place so special as everyone else writes is the staff. Klaus (owner), Steffi (manager) and Claire (manager) are beyond compare. You really feel like you are staying at their home. No detail is too small. The house is immaculate and perfectly appointed. The rooms are tasteful, functional, warm yet modern. The breakfast is perfect. Again, no detail is too small.
The name 2Inn1 comes from the combination of two houses on the same property that formed the property that also has the address of 21 Kennsington. There is a pool and a hot tub.
The place is nearly impossible to get into. i had to book nearly a year in advance. There are only 10 rooms and many people come back year after year and make their reservations for next year when they depart this year. Most of the guests I saw, were European which ads a unique flavor to your stay.
Do not get expecting a hotel experience. You are staying at a guesthouse that could be called a "B&B" or a "Boutique Hotel." You are a ways away from Long Street or the Warf. You can walk to Long Street, but not the Warf. The neighborhood is beautiful, quiet and in close proximity to Table Mountain. That in itself is a change of pace. You feel less like a tourist staying here than you would at a downtown hotel. Not a whole lot in easy walking distance, but Uber is perfect and cheap in Cape Town.
The service is really what stands out at this place. I put a lot of planning into my trip. When we arrived, we met with Claire who sat us down and went over our schedule. She helped "polish" my schedule and fill in the holes I had left out. Her suggestions were perfect.
If you are looking for something a little less touristy, this is your place.
Highly recommended. I hope I have the privilege to return again one day.

Dear Connie,
Unfortunately we are absolutely fully booked in February.
Kind regards
Claire
Dear Frances,
You can explore the city, Table Mountain, Camps Bay, Waterfront with the hop on hop off bus. The bus stop is within walking distance from us. For day tours to the surroundings as Cape of Good Hope or the Winelands we could arrange guided tours for you. We also work together with a reliable taxi company. Please contact us directly via email for any further queries. Yours 2inn1-Team
It was too cold outside to go in the pool. One gentleman out of a full house was in for about 5 minutes.....he didn't seem to have a problem getting in.
We did not know they serve food and went out by foot 10 mins walk to really good steak restaurant and many others
It's in a nice area
I really don't know the answer to this I suggest contacting the Hotel
