From the moment we arrived we were treated like family - Stefi, Claire and the other staff couldn't do enough for us.

They have thought of everything, from restaurant recommendations to a mobile phone to take with you, with taxi and the guest house numbers pre-loaded.

Free drinks/nibbles from 6pm-8pm - no small measures either.

Breakfasts on the terrace are relaxed and varied. Fruit salads, smoothies, breads etc and also cooked options, including a daily special, all cooked to order.

If you are off out on an early morning trip and packed breakfast is organised.

The rooms are incredibly clean and comfortable - we had beautiful views of Lions head and Table mountain from our balcony. The bathroom has everything in it - a large walk in shower, toiletries and hairdryer - very stylish and clean.

There's a turn down service every night with water and chocolate. There are complimentary soft drinks and water in the fridge which are replaced everyday. There are coffee pods and a coffee machine in your room too.

There is nothing I would say needs improving or changing in this hotel. I would definitely stay here again!

What an amazing staff!

We spent six nights in this stylish little retreat from the world, nestled up against Table Mountain. Just minutes from bustling Kloof street with its boutiques and restaurants, 2Inn1 lies on a quiet street behind an anonymous wall. Immediately on your arrival, a member of the smiling staff makes you feel like you matter to them. Nothing is too much trouble. "Our pleasure" is their sincere motto. Dining arrangements at that exclusive restaurant (normally 6 months in advance), cable car tickets, directions to anywhere, drinks and nibbles....these things are taken care of before you think of them. Of course, the room is immaculate, the pool inviting, the breakfast sumptuous, the views entrancing, the decorative touches charming, above all the service is everything....and very, very special. The amazing staff ensure comfort and elegance never matched in bigger, "finer" establishments. Imagine an end to your stay where ALL the staff assemble on the sidewalk to wish you farewell, 'till next time.
That said it all. And of course there will be a next time! The most highest recommendation I have ever given is well deserved. We'll be back!

This was our 2nd time to the 2inn1 having stayed here when we got married in Cape Town in 2013.

We were concerned it wouldn't live up to our memories but we needn't have worried. As per all the other TA reports it is simply faultless.

It was like meeting old friends seeing the Fab Four, Klaus, Chris, Claire & Steffi again, they make you feel so welcome and would do anything to make your trip special, indeed Steffi for no reason other than she refused to take no for an answer drove us to the Mount Nelson hotel for afternoon tea, which was a great way to spend a few hours.

On a daily basis they ask about your plans, dinner reservations, taxis etc and if not already sorted they soon will be. Sundowners, having a chat with the other guests is also a great way to unwind after a hard day enjoying yourselves.

We ate at Fork, Bacinis, The Royale Eaterie, La Boheme, The Rumbullion all of which were great, it's been difficult over our two trips to remember any negative food experience, again helped a great deal by the 2inn1 recommendations.

Would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of coming to Cape Town, but best get booked early.........

Sadly we have just left the 2inn1 after our annual stay here. It is still our favourite hotel to stay in and is like a home from home except better as at home we have no Steffi or Claire to make our lives so easy! The whole team here are marvellous and it is a joy to see so many familiar faces each year. Klaus and Chris have the hotel running as smoothly as anyone could want.
It is getting more and more difficult to get a reservation here, just because it is so good, but it is worth persevering, planning ahead and taking what you can get! We have already booked for next year and can't wait!
To all the team, thank you so much, we look forward to seeing you next time.

I am not sure where to start on The 2inn1 Kensington other than to say BOOK BOOK BOOK!

From the moment we booked online to go to this amazing hotel we were treated like royalty. We booked online and Steffi immediately emailed us asking if we'd like her to pre-book anything.There is a reason this hotel is rated number 1 on Tripadvisor and it's the little things Steffi and Claire do for their guests.

When we arrived at the hotel Steffi was waiting outside alongside Klaus and Chris the lovely owners. We immediately felt so welcome and at home. Steffi took us out to the pool and wrote out the perfect itinerary for our 4 day stay and even surprised us with pre-booked dinner reservations at some of the top restaurants in Cape Town (my fiancee was so happy being a foodie, we had tried to pre-book but the waiting lists are up to 6 months!) Steffi booked shark diving for us (a must do), booked and printed off Table Mountain tickets etc etc. THEN she discovered we had just got engaged and we wanted to buy our diamond ring out there....within 30mins a driver was waiting for us from the jewelers she recommended and i had my stunning ring made and delivered to the hotel within 3 days......it was the best experience ever!! We are so grateful for Steffi's jeweler recommendation. I now have the most sparkly diamond to look at :))

The hotel itself is gorgeous. The rooms are lovely, we had the standard double but i wouldn't call it standard, it was gorgeous. Excellent hairdryer, beach bag, beach towels, pod coffee machine, CD player, DVD player, and the best bit- a mobile phone which they give all of their guests so they can call taxis, call the hotel and they can call you on, such a nice touch!!! The bed was so comfy, huge shower, the cleaners came in TWICE a day....once to clean after you leave the room in the morning, then again in the evening to turn down your bed and leave chocolates on the bed for you, it's the little things that make this my all time favorite hotel. We are hoping to return for our honeymoon next year and we never return to the same hotels but we just have to go back.

Each evening the hotel offers free sun-downers which is such a lovely touch. So before you go out you have a drink outside watching the sun set, all complimentary.

My partner had 2 shirts ironed within a few minutes of arriving. Honestly nothing is too much for these guys. The security is incredible, at least 1 security guard sits outside the hotel all night plus there is a night porter to give you bottles of water (or more alcohol! and he;s so lovely), the cleaners are world class. You just feel at home here and i can't recommend it enough. All I can say is 4 nights was not long enough and you need at least a week, we had no time to really chill out around the amazing pool and gardens so we will be back for some serious chill time.

The location is fab- 10 min walk and you're on the big red bus tour to take you all over Cape Town- perfect! Taxis pull up outside and your down at the waterfront within 10mins and the best bit- Table Mountain is right above you, what a view.

Honestly BOOK BOOK BOOK! We'll be back.

Thanks Steffi, Claire, Klaus and Chris- see you in December 2016!!! From Mark and Hannah x

This was our third stay at the 2inn1, and our longest yet (7 nights). As always, we had a wonderful welcome and our holiday was made so easy for us by the care and attention of all the staff. Claire, in particular, seemed to work magic in restaurants to get the best table by the window!
This hotel is all about the service, we have stayed in places with bigger rooms or better views but there is a certain quality here that is hard to find and that makes it stand out head and shoulders above others. Klaus and Kris have put together a wonderful team and it is the whole team that make the place special.
We fully intended to go to Australia next year instead of Cape Town, but the 2inn1 have messed that up for us and we have booked to go again next year, yes we are addicted!

We've travelled all over the world for business and vacation and I must say this is one of the most hospitable group of hosts we've met. Every detail was attended to. Breakfast was wonderful. The managers were very kind and the staff was welcoming. Location is great, with a nice view of the mountains. No wonder they are number 1 on Tripadvisor!

The best ways to advocate this small establishment is to highlight that:
- you can have breakfast when you want (and very good it is too) - no cut off;
- you are provided with a local cellphone (with pre-programmed numbers for the hotel and a trusted taxi service);
- complimentary drinks are offered late afternoon to early evening;
- the rooms are comfortable (bed & communal) and shower rooms well appointed;
- most importantly, nothing is too much trouble for the team.

Ok, so it is not an uber-cool, marble, steel & glass edifice with the very best of designer finishings. This place's excellence is not in its labels (relevant to some) but in the way it is run. It is completely comfortable, very welcoming & generous in nature and a pleasure to stay in. This is as comfortable as if you were going to stay with good friends who are happy for you to come and go at your leisure. And to be clear, you are not suffocated in over the top and over familiar levels of service (Thai style). Just if you want something, the team provides.

We stayed in two rooms (reason to follow). Not too sure if they were "good" or "bad" relative to others: they were very similar, one having an outdoor deck over looking Lion's Head. Perfectly spacious (given that there is a welcoming communal drawing room) and an exceedingly comfy & large bed. Shower room well fitted as well. Furniture may look slightly retro to some.

On the morning we were leaving (flight required a 1500 departure from the hotel), we were told that our day room was ready when we were packed. We had not asked for a day room (never crossed our minds) and the offer was made gratis. As it was sunny, we just lazed around the very attractive pool area, had a light lunch, used the room to shower pre-flight and effectively gained an extra day's vacation! The day room (room 9) was pretty much identical to our original room, except for the Lion's Head view. It made that "hanging around until our flight" syndrome evaporate. So many, many thanks to the team.

From a location perspective, there is no "ideal" location to stay in Cape Town. The Waterfront has it's issues, Camps Bay, whilst being most beautiful, is that little bit further out of town, and Claremont/Bishops a little further still. As such, unless you must have a view of the sea, 2inn1 is a good location compromise for the touring tourist. Most "Cape Town" destinations are only 10-15mins by taxi (call that Z50-75). We had a hire car (parked on the residential road outside) but only used it for day trips. Evening restaurant trips were all by cab. And it only took us 25 min to CPT.

In summary, 2inn1 was, as a complete package, without fault on all the TripAdvisor ratings.

Congratulations to the hotel's management & staff.

I agree with all of the reviewers on this site. The 2 inn 1 Guesthouse is beyond wonderful. I agree that the staff and owners...Klaus, Chris, Clair and Steffi go that extra mile...all of the staff included here.

We straggled in on a rainy night ....late...around 11pm or so. We had been on Safari in Zim. and Botswana for 3 weeks.We had been flying all day. Our luggage had been lost and we had problems with our credit card. We barely made the flight to Capetown. We were not in a good mood when we dragged ourselves up the stairs...and I mean dragged.

There was Steffi to greet us...she immediately calmed us down ...offered a large glass of wine (boy did I need this), and told us not to worry about a thing. She had already arranged to have our lost luggage delivered the next day....and a new credit card was to be there also. She took care of all of this before we even arrived. She had toiletry kits already in our room with toothbrushes, etc. Here is the unbelievable part...she told us to put on the robes that were in the room and she would take our clothes and wash them. Klaus was to deliver them to our room in the morning.
This was at 11pm!! Where would you ever find helpful service like that?
In the morning...there was Klaus with our fresh, clean clothes (I think they were even pressed). He had a big smile on his face and acted as if it was no bother at all. We were totally blown away by all of this.

The service continued during our 6 day stay. Steffi went out of her way to make our every wish come true. She even drove us to a restaurant one evening as she was going that way. She has such a great personality and is so personable with everyone. We had a lot of fun just kidding around with her...we felt as if we had made good friends.
Have to mention that Clair even brought some bubble wrap and tape from her home for us to use on some gifts we had bought. So thoughtful.

I could go on and on...they made our stay so great...believe the good reviews .....all true.

The 2 Inn 1 has certainly set the bar high for other B&B's and hotels.

Thank you to everyone there!

This is a lovely hotel in a great location of Cape Town. It's a 10-15 minute stroll to the restaurants of Kloof Street and is in a really nice location.

We had booked Derwent House Hotel for our first two nights in Cape Town and had hoped to book in there for our last two nights. However, we could only book in for our last night so ended up staying at 2inn1 for the other night. We had raved about Derwent House but this hotel was just as good. The service was great and we were offered complementary drinks as soon as we arrived. We came back from an evening out to find chocolates and water by our bed. These little touches make this hotel a great choice.

The breakfast was also very good - cooked breakfasts are available but we found the cold buffet selection more than enough with lots of tempting, good quality food.

If you want somewhere that's a bit more personalised but still want to stay in a modern hotel, this is definately the place for you. I would definately recommend 2inn1.
