City Centre hotel handy for all the main sites and with the bonus of a courtesy bus to the Waterfront area. Average size rooms typical of a city hotel - think most people tend to eat at the Waterfront and just grab drinks in the bar area which is a little small for such a large hotel. Pretty good breakfast and very efficient lifts.

Stayed here for a few nights and had a great stay. It is located close to The V&A waterfront which is a really nice place to walk around and eat, and the hotel had a free shuttle! The breakfast at the hotel was great and all the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean.

This is a large hotel near the convention centre. As a single woman, I didn't particularly like the location as I went out for a walk and was harassed twice, there also was not many people walking around the street. Next time I would stay at the V&A waterfront. My room was comfortable and had a good shower. The tiny little bottle of water was not sufficient. We had a very nice buffet dinner at Yizani and I also enjoyed the buffet breakfast each morning. Every time I came back to my room, the air con had been switched off and the window opened. I found this a little annoying.

We chose Yizani restaurant in Southern Sun over another fine dining property, but our mistake was that we didnt check that the last review was 8 months ago!! We were very disappointed with the service (although some staff was good). There was one vegetarian and we had ordered a vegetarian menu for her and asked for onion rings on the side. When the food arrived, the onion rings were piled on top of the meat which was a strict no no for my religious hindu friend. They did apologise, and offered to bring a new portion, but we were already very hungry and could not wait. Next, I asked for ketchup and a bottle of ketchup was promptly kept on my table. I have been in cape town for 3 days and ate a various restaurants, non of them were fine dining, but they never kept a bottle of ketchup on the table. It was always served in a separate dish or bowl. Not something a restaurant in a fancy hotel is expected to do. Lastly, it wasnt a very crowded restaurant, but the staff took way too long to serve and did not bother to come check if we needed anything else. Unfortunately, it was a disappointment and marred our last day in beautiful Cape Town!

I did not stay at the hotel but conducted training there in the training rooms. The staff and food were excellent. The drawback was unsafe electrical cords on the floor. Wi-Fi seemed acceptable. My delegates who stayed at the venue seemed happy with it.

Way over priced for what you receive. The rooms are really tired and bathrooms definitely need an upgrade. I could not believe I was paying so much for a tiny room and old bathroom. The downstairs area (bar and restaurant) is lovely. Wonderful food and service. Good location.

The hotel is very convenient to everything. One stop show. The staff was really amazing specially the chef Mary-Ann such a sparking person with warm welcome. I really enjoyed my breakfast because of her, great aura!! Vuyo from concierge really good host! Doreen from the Spa beautiful smile and warm personality. The restaurant team for dinner not so welcoming a bit of training needed, other than that the service was phenomenal overall. Beautiful hotel and HUGE restaurant! Loved my trip!

The hotel is rather basic, the staff is really friendly but: No slippers or bathrobes, Only one small water bottle in the room. Small amenities such as cookies are not refilled, even during a weeks stay. I asked for an iron. Got one leaking, so old so that you could not see what temperature it was on. Room service takes double the time (minimum 1 hour for a salad) Very good SPA competence, but no changing room, place to put your clothes (just hang the behind the door) nor a proposed tea or drink even after a 3 - 4 hour beauty treatment. Breakfast buffet has no uncut fruits. The bar staff does not know what an Aperol Spritz is, prefers to say that they do not have (but they do)…

The hotel is quite large (14 floors). Our room was on the ninth floor wtih a nice view of the waterfront. We stayed there for several nights and we found the room quite and comfortable. As we spent most days in day trips, we left early and returned late every day, and always found the room cleaned. Our reservation included breakfast and found it to be very good yet quite crowded. Yet, the staff was efficient and ready to help (never seen a more hard working person than Mary Ann that was handling the omelets station!). The hotel has a shuttle to the waterfront, but as it has only 13 seats it was always crowded and a coupe of times we found no space. To his credit, the driver came back to pick us quickly. Overall, a good stay.
