Mark was an amazing host! Breakfast was awesome, staff super accommodating. Beautiful views of table mountain. So conveniently located to shops and restaurants as well… can walk to so many areas. Great value. Highly recommend staying here
A beautiful Guest House which was our first stay for our trip through South Africa. The old house with the tasteful antique furniture and the original wooden floor as well as the high ceiling gives you a feeling as you arrived in the beginning of the 20th Century. The hotel is located in Oranjezicht on the foot of the table mountain and walking into the city centre of Kapstadt through the wonderful Company's Garden takes you about 25 minutes. Janet, who served our breakfast is a warmly person and the good soul of Esperanza. The breakfast was very good, a different choice of fresh juices, cereal, fresh bread and variety of cheese and eggs are served ( as we are vegeterian we can not give a review of the bacon :-) ) The rooms are very clean and unique. WIFI is available all over the place. We really enjoyed our stay at Esperanza.…
Nice tasteful furniture. Good matrasses. The street is a bit noisy but quiet at night and weekend. Friendly staff. Large bathrooms. Tasty breakfast. Parking in the street in front of guesthouse. Good place to stay!
Best place for couples.I was there on my wedding day ,this place is great.Me and my wife enjoyed every minute of our stay ,although we arrived late at night a bit later than we had booked for but our host Mark made sure we had the best experience ever. I recommend ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🕺🏿💃🏿
A great place to stay. The Esperanza Guest House Cape Town is a fantastic 150 year old mansion. A Warm and nice welcomed by the owners. We been spoiled by Gloria that take good care of us. We would sincerely recommend to stay here while in Cape Town.
Esperanza is a great Guest House, and my first choice whenever I'm in Cape Town. Good location, great accommodation, excellent host. Even better if you can persuade Mark to let you try one of his Shangani Lager home brews.
Esperanza is a beautifully restored period property, located with great views of the city of Cape Town and Table Mountain. The hosts Mark & Michelle are very welcoming and hospitable; Gloria and Janet serve a fantastic breakfast with great smiles and the big spacious ensuite rooms are kept spotlessly clean. The house is conveniently located to many of the attractions there are to see in Cape Town, for example, we walked in to the city through the Company Gardens, visiting various museums and galleries, and for those with more energy you can walk up table mountain from the house. The honesty bar just typifies the relaxed and homely atmosphere, a really wonderful place to stay in Cape Town.
Good location, good views, great breakfasts, nice staff and owner; easy walk to restaurants, or easier uber. running track across the street. Super tasteful rooms and decor. Lots of parking directly in front.
As soon as we (my husband,2 daughters ,son in laws and myself) arrived in the B&B, we knew, even without seeing it yet, that the rooms would be exceptional. And yes... it was exceptional. What a nice house and rooms. great breakfast, very nice people working there. Jeannette was so nice during breakfast, she gave us a warm feeling. When we opened our curtains, we had a view on the tablemountain. It is also very close to the city center .Next time when we come back we will choose for this B&B again, that's for sure. Thank you Mark for letting us stay in your beautiful house! See you next time!
What a great place to spend a few days or more. Great host (Mark) and his staff are amongst the best. Sitting at the foot of table mountain, it's hard to imagine a better location. Close proximity to the centre of town but just far enough to get the peace and tranquillity of the area.
