This was a lovely place to stay and situated in a nice part of Cape Town. The staff and facilities were spot on and the breakfast was really good. Very helpful manager who couldn’t help us enough. Would highly recommend staying here for your stay in Cape Town.

We arrived in Cape Town tired and weary and were greeted by the wonderful Natalie. “Go and freshen then we can check you in” she said. When we came down 30 mins later she had fresh coffee and home made short bread waiting for us. She helped us plan our time in CT and helped me download the Uber app. Everyone we encountered at Acorn house were helpful, friendly and warm. Our room was basic but comfortable. Thank you Natalie and team, sorry it’s taken so long to leave this review! Xx

Great breakfast. Good bar over the road. Would definitely stay again and plenty of off street parking. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The location is quiet and is out of the city centre. Would recommend camps bay which is ten minutes away !

I can’t rate Acorn house high enough. From the wonderful staff for whom nothing was too much trouble and seem to love Acorn house as much as we did. A fabulous view of Table Mountain if you eat breakfast. Thank you for a great few days We would love to stay again soon.

We stayed here in October 2023 and we absolutely loved the accommodation and the hosts. The accommodation is well located close to all the amenities in Cape Town. There is plenty of parking outside if you have transport and it's situated in a safe neighbourhood. The rooms allocated to us were spacious, well equipped and comfortable. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was well cooked and delicious. The service was excellent. Maaika, Natalie and all the staff were professional, courteous and friendly. We wish we could have stayed longer and we were sad to leave.

Wonderful stay in this cute guesthouse. We had an awful experience with BA getting to cape town but the staff waited up for us and made us hot drinks on arrival and made us really welcome. The biggest shock was the power shedding. We had not been told about this by our agent and did not appreciate how big a problem it was do that you did plan some of your showers/ meals around it. The breakfasts were amazing. Lots of variety and very fresh ingredients. There’s an honesty bar in the relaxing lounge. The rooms we had were very spa ious and beautifully decorated and furnished. Very comfortable. Again we were not aware of how dangerous it is to be outside after dark u til the hostess made us aware for our own safety, so be sure to always use Uber especially after sundown to stay safe. The hostess was very helpful with suggestions on restaurants etc Thank you for a wonderful 3 night stay, wish we had stayed another couple of nights as there was so much more to see!!!

Stayed here for three nights upon our arrival in SA. Located in a quiet suburb, the setting is stunning. It’s 15 minutes Uber ride from the waterfront and city centre and 10 minutes to Table Mountain which provides a magnificent backdrop for the hotel. The room was comfortable and well equipped but what makes this place special is the atmosphere and the staff, who were fantastic throughout. They were dedicated to making our stay as enjoyable and entertaining as possible. Would stay here again when returning to Cape Town

A wonderful stay. Rooms very clean and comfortable. The hosts were very welcoming and helped with useful tips to plan our stay. Ideally located close to the V&A waterfront and Table mountain Nice fresh breakfast and even tailor made to our dietary requirement. We are all vegetarian and there was plenty of choice. We will be recommending this to family and friends.
