Detailed Reviews

Radium Hall guesthouse has been the perfect location for our first trip in Cape Town and we spent 6 nights there. The room was amazing, confortable, clean and with a wonderful view on the Table Montain. The room was equipped with all kind of comfort (tv, always working-wifi, kettle, the essential kitchen equipment to have a coffe or a cup of tea) and it was cleaned up each day. For our kind of trip, it was more than enough.
Jamin has been more than a perfect host. He has provided us whatever we might need. The first day of our arrival, in Cape Town there was a terrible storm and Jamin has helped us with our luggage and he has provided us 2 heaters to make us more confortable. In addition, our flight was anticipated of two hours at the last minute and anyway he was absolutely helpful. Jamin has been warmly welcoming and friendly and he has provided us priceless advices and suggestions for our excursions and naturally for restaurants and our activities in Cape Town. He was really helpful also to plan air days in Cape Town...as a friend! Finally, he suggested us The Blue Cafe for breakfast, a really nice cafe at 3 minutes walking from home. We have parked our car along the street immediately closed to the house but we hadn't any problem as the area is supersafe and quiet.
Of course we will recommend Radium Hall guesthouse to our friends and families as we had a wonderful experience and we'll come back again too.
Thanks Jamin for your welcoming and for your help, we'll not forget it!

Nestled in the heart of Tamboerskloof, a safe, trendy, family-friendly neighbourhood, Radium Hall Guest House truly feels like a home away from home. The rooms are super clear and serviced daily, and most of them have incredible views across the city. I booked a smaller room, but were still able to enjoy gorgeous views from the balcony and common spaces. My room was very private, and the neighbourhood and guest house was quiet and safe. A bonus was the quick access to Table Mountain and being walking distance to businesses and resturants in Kloof Street and the City. The best part of the my stay was, however, the hospitality - I had much uncertainty about the length of my stay, and Radium Hall went above and beyond to accommodate me. I can highly recommend this establishment, and will certainly be back.

Jamin is a wonderful host. He makes sure you’ll get a warm welcome when you arrive. The guesthouse has amazing views on the table mountain, has spacious patio's and rooms, and has this calm ambiance I’ve really enjoyed during my stay. With only a five minute walk downhill you're in a vibrant street with lovely coffeeshops! The guesthouse has a lot of character and a lot of love has been put into it. During my stay in Cape Town I came back to stay at the guesthouse again. It's a very green, safe and colorful suburb where the guesthouse is located. It's a perfect location to walk to museums / the company garden / or take an Uber who will take you anywhere (table mountain / lions head / V&A waterfront etc.) in a couple of minutes. It's a perfect area if you like vegan food or if you're up to try vegan food.

We were able to check in just before 10h00 on the Saturday morning and immediately were made to feel very welcome. We had a room on the top floor and we had the most spectacular view of Table Mountain and the City Bowl. The view extends to the Boland mountains in the East. A big lounge area was also made available to us, although we did not require its use. The room was fresh and clean and even though close to the city and its surrounds, we were not bothered by traffic and we could enjoy the sounds of birds. Parking is outside in the street, but being in a cul de sac, it is reasonably secure.
I can really recommend Radium Hall as a place to stay when you plan to spend some time in Cape Town. Management is very friendly and accommodating and even though we did not have breakfast, I am convinced that it will also be good quality.

There are three things that stand out at the radium Hall which are, for me, what every traveller wishes to experience.
1. The hosts are very helpful, kind and very happy people. Everything from arrival until departure is so well organised, information is readily available and they are very informative, you will feel at home
2. The view is superb, you have a great gaze of the table mountains, Lion's head and the greater city of Capetown. the view is as thrilling during the day as it is at night with a fresh breeze throughout.
3. The neighbourhood is safe and a short walk to the main city centre. this means you never struggle with transport, if you get hungry you have great restuarants near by.
beyond these three things, Radium Hall is perfect for both Business and Luxury travel. the guests i met there were super nice, i think the Radium instills that ambiance of comfort.
Overrall, its a 9.9/10 for me and i am goign to stay there again on my next visit

And beautiful sunrises. The upper 2 large apartments have a huge terrace with an amazing view. You also have a good view from the lower terrace. The landlord is a laid-back, cool guy with lots of ideas for things to do and a willingness to help. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. If you're in Cape Town, you'll definitely be back there. You can have a delicious and inexpensive breakfast in the Blue Cafe, a 3-minute walk away.

I just want to share with you the great experience we had for our stay at the guest house last Wednesday evening.
First of all, the place is really beautiful and the location is just stunning with the most breath taking views of Cape Town and Table Mountain. The rooms are really spacious and are very clean, including the bathroom and shower, which is always a must for me to be able to sleep well and stay over in an unknown place. Everything were there that a person could need in a guest house, and I cannot fault the place on anything.
Darrell was a super host and really made us feel welcome and even treated us with a lovely bottle of red wine to wind down after a busy day.
I can really recommend the place for Digicall to use when management or staff needs to stay over in Cape Town and from now on, it is definitely my first choice.

We found Radium Hall to be a really nice location. 5 minutes walk from The Blue Cafe for breakfast. Amazing views. David was a very attentive host and gave great tips on where to go and even lent us his hiking books. Bedrooms are well equipped, clean and have plenty of space. It’s easy to get Ubers to and from Radium Hall.

We really enjoyed our stay at Radium Hall. The host Jamin upgraded our room to the larger room but either would have been lovey as the city/ Table Mountain views from both rooms is stunning. Our room was clean and Jamin made sure we had fresh mountain drinking water ( delicious) and everything we needed during out stay. He recommended The Blue Cafe for breakfast ( excellent and easy to walk to from Radium Hall if you can handle stairs and a couple of hills) and Bacinis for pasta and pizza for dinner ( excellent too). We really enjoyed are stay here. Quiet neighbourhood and great room views.

Helo I invite who ever wrote that response to please come an have a walk in my shoes, where i break my back an bend over backward to maintain a level of service and accommodation at my guest house....
What I was saying is that people come an stay at a guest house they book in an they will rather not mention anything for the duration of the stay .... bottle it up an then go home an write a nasty review. Now all that could of happened is the person could of from get go just approached the manager an requested a pillow with feathers or a change of mattress or what ever.
But it just astonishes me that they will sit down to my brilliant breakfast an i will ask them if everything is perfect an they will just blatantly say yes..... Then i have to deal with a rant an a rave a month later on trip advisor.....!!
Thats me done an i will keep improving an Radium Hall will be in the top 10 by next summer, why dont you come see for your self.
"Things to avoid? .. The mediocre, stay here. Parking.. Really safe area to park up, and to stay. Tips .. Leave the car and "Go Walkabout"..loadsa cafes, restaurants..."Read full review
