I had a lovely 82sqm apartment here which had everything that I needed for my business trip to Cape Town. Half the price of normal hotel rooms and double the space and facilities. They also had a good gym, good restaurant for the breakfasts, and a good location for getting Uber’s everywhere. Recommended.

If you want to experience how a hotel from a large chain should be run properly this is the place to go. Not 5 star but much better than many 4 & 5 star hotels we have stayed at. Rooms (apartments) are fully equipped, clean and comfortable. Breakfast is a great standard. Location is excellent – easy walk or Uber to Waterfront and other areas. The staff were helpful and friendly to the last man/woman. The couple of times we needed to call someone (e.g. trying to figure out how to operate a very complex Bosch washing machine) we got immediate and effective attention.

I spent a week here for a work trip, and I have to say that it was an excellent stay. The bedroom - I had one several floors up - was large, quiet and spacious. The room cleaning was excellent every day, and the way the bed was made absolutely perfectly every day is difficult to find, so it was very welcome at the Protea North Wharf. The breakfast was plentiful and I appreciated the eggs station, and also the ability to sit outside on warm mornings with a coffee. Ubers were easy to get most days. The pool was welcome on hot days.

We were fortunate enough to be upgraded to a two bedroom apartment with a balcony. It was very spacious, clean and well equipped. The air con worked perfectly and we were not affected by load shedding. There were large, comfortable sofas and a great kitchen. Breakfast was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful. There was an on site beauty salon, which had reasonable prices. The pool was disappointing -shaded and bleak. Our balcony too lacked any furniture. The hotel was in the business district so a short Uber ride from the Waterfront. There was a pleasant Italian restaurant opposite the hotel.

I would give this hotel a better than very good rating if not for the air conditioning. We could not get our room cooler than about 75F even after visits from staff maintanence. The rooms are fabulous and the staff is great. Good food and drinks. Just bad AC.

Love this hotel. 15 minute walk to Victoria and Alfred Hotel by the wharf, lots of things to do, places to eat, close to banks with ATM, close to shop. Ots got its own restaurant, you can order room service, they have a 7 day Happy Hour from 5-7, good breakfast buffet. Room with a balcony, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, stove, oven, pots n pans, plates, etc like you are in a condo. My room has a huge living room and dining, King size bed, tv in bedroom and living room. Most of all the staffs are all professional, helpful and very nice, especially the Manager Zilu - superb customer service! Zora, Tyrone, Gode and Unathi and many others that I cannot remember their names ❤️ I love this hotel 👍

Room Tip: For transfers, book with Viator, ask this hotel or use Uber. A friend got scammed by a taxi...

Wow what a well run hotel, The staff here work very very hard and do things quickly. The front desk will handle any request with great haste. Yasmin Gault was extremely helpful. The breakfast staff are all very friendly and attentive. The breakfast itself is minimal in its variety but maximal in its quality. Was extremely convenient and was included in our rate. The rooms were comfortable and very large. We got two rooms and Yasmin was able to keep both of them together. The cleaning crew is quite expeditious and able to help too. Finally, the location of this hotel is ideal for Cape Town travelers. It’s in the central business district and is walkable to just about everywhere in the city. This was a great stay!

Just stayed here for 10 nights and would highly recommend it. The location was perfect, about 20 minutes walk to the waterfront. This means it’s quiet at night, unlike the hotels at the waterfront yet near enough to all the major sights and 2 minutes from a hop on bus stop that takes you everywhere. The rooms are massive & very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Has a small kitchen with a washing machine (which looked new), oven, dishwasher. Shower was good and has a bath as well. Can’t fault the breakfast and we also had some evening meals as well which were very tasty. Don’t forget happy hour between 5 and 7, lovely wine at great value. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. Really cannot fault this hotel and we had a great stay here. My one little gripe is lack of decent pool. If just the hotel had the whole roof space, put some plants, sunbeds and better pool up there, this would really be the icing on the cake. The pool as it is, is not inviting and doesn’t get used. But otherwise, it’s an excellent hotel and it would be our first choice if we visited CT again.

Great self catering apartments! Well located with very friendly and helpful reception staff. Only one point to pick on and that’s the breakfast waitresses… they should try and not interrupt customers when they are in a conversation. It’s rude!! Otherwise great service and excellent prices per night. They even prepared runners pack for breakfast for the marathon. Thank you. We will be back soon

What a wonderful surprise! This hotel was so lovely!! We had a huge suite with bedroom, living and dining room and full kitchen: not to mention a washer and dryer!! All very nicely appointed and comfortable!! The front desk staff from Yasmin to Chadwin were absolutely exceptional in making us feel well cared for and valued. They helped with every question, printed needs and more with such beautiful hospitality! The restaurant was wonderful!! The cappuccinos made each morning by the masterful and delightful Masi made us smile. Hot chocolate in the evening was also a real treat we usually skipped dessert in a restaurant to return for the hot chocolate! We also had dinner in the restaurant one night, and again, food prep and presentation were lovely and done with care. Location is a short walk to the Victoria and Alfred waterfront area, and very easy. The entire staff was beyond fabulous. Security would welcome us with such genuine interest in how we were enjoying our days, it was truly hard to leave these amazing people who showed us the very meaning of extreme hospitality!!
