We stayed at the Spring Tide for a week in May 2019 as a base to explore the city. The staff were helpful and friendly and made us feel welcome right away. It was great and I would definitely stay here again. The room was big and the bed was comfortable. The shower had a weird door that let a lot of water out onto the floor, but the water was hot and the pressure was strong. There was a TV (we never turned it on), a mini-fridge, and a hot water kettle for tea. We were upgraded to a room with a balcony which was nice. It only looked out onto the street but it was nice to sit outside when we brought our dinner home. The wifi was mostly strong, and it reached into our room which was great. There was an A/C in the room but we did not need to use it this time of year. The location is convenient to the Promenade, as well as local restaurants and grocery stores. It is only a few blocks to walk down to the stop for the Hop On Hop Off bus (which we got great use out of). But the best part was the breakfast. Jamilla was consistently amazing and cooked us eggs to order and breakfast meats, plus there was cereal, toast, juice, fruit, yogurt, and often muffins or croissants or something. We never left the table hungry! We were terribly jet lagged, and often fell asleep before it got dark out. So I can’t say what it is like outside at night, but we felt perfectly safe walking around during the day. As a side note, our Uber from the airport cost about 220 Rand. This isn’t a fancy hotel, but we found it to be very comfortable, convenient, and satisfying. Thanks to Spring Tide for making our stay in Cape Town so enjoyable!…
One does not expect a quaint peaceful place bang in the center of a happening place. I was pleasantly surprised and liked my stay there. The staff was exceptionally helpful and did everything to make my stay comfortable. The toilet was clean and towels adequate. the bedding was plush and lots of comfortable pillows... Jamila (chef) and the other caretaker were amazing ladies....Ms Waaraa... the manager was far more helpful then i could ever imagine... patiently waiting for my payment to come-through without so much as a wrinkle on her forehead...i am indebted to the property for this aspect. if i would go to Capetown again..i ll surely stay here!!!
I stayed at this place for 7 nights early August. Property is located on a cross street about 100M from Beach road promenade and bust stops, 25M from Main Road and bus stops. Good cafes, restaurants, major supermarkets, convenient stores and banks are within short walking distance on Main Road. The property has parking on a side road. Place was very quiet with large, clean and comfortable rooms. The building is not a typical B&B house but a purpose built building with several large rooms on the upper floor. My room had a balcony. Cooked breakfast provided was very good with overall service from staff simply excellent. I highly recommend this property as providing outstanding value.
Our stay at Spring Tide Inn was simply the best guest house we have stayed in Sea Point. I just have to mention the ladies employed at guest house. They were absolutely wonderful and could not do enough for us. This guest house is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
Very good.If I visit Capetown again,I want to stay at Spring Tide Inn. Because of location, clean room, good breakfast and helpful staff.
