Detailed Reviews
This is my first stay in a guest house, although I traveled to more than thirty countries. Akways stayed in nice hotels. This is a very nice place managed by Mr. Craig. The room is clean, with comfortable bed and pillows. The owner provides coffee, tea, fresh banana bread, and seasonal fresh fruits.
A nice well equipped kitchen. It's location is close to Table mountain plus close (60 meters) to a café serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.
One can request for a well balanced breakfast for R125 each morning.

Very nice, neat and very well located little guesthouse with personal touch !!!! Fruit, muffins, biscuits, tea and coffee/cappuccino/espresso etc. from a fully automatic coffee machine grinding whole beans are complimentary included in your stay. Craig - the owner - is a great host and gave us a lot of very good advice for our stay in cape Town and suroundings. The guesthouse is only 5 minutes Uber or taxi ride away from Kloof Street (which is a street with lots of restaurants, cafes, bars, little grocerie shops, a service station, a supermarket, a pharmacy and even a little shopping mall). A very nice cafe is ony about 70 metres from the guesthouse and there you can not only have very tasty and affordable breakfast and lunch menus but even enjoy a great view on Table Mountain!

The location was ideal for exploring the finest breakfast spots, bars, and restaurants. The staff and owner were exceptionally friendly, and my stay was trouble-free. The rooms were truly magnificent, and I was pleasantly surprised when the owner arranged for me to have a private room for a few days, which I deeply appreciated. I wholeheartedly recommend this place and will definitely book it again on my next trip!

I would highly recommend Belmont Guest House, whether you are on vacation, or like me; working in Cape Town and need a place to stay for a longer time.
Craig is an amazing host, who was attentive and went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable - he even changed the type of coffee served to accommodate my taste!
The Guesthouse is tastefully decorated and achieves a balance between luxury and comfort and the views of Table Mountain from the front patio and kitchen are mesmerising.
The rooms are spacious, have all the amenities you would expect and more (just in case).
The location is very central to the City and Beaches and a 5 min trip to Kloof Street.
The staff at the Guesthouse are lovely, Medeline, Chris, Muzi and Patrick were fantastic.

Stayed in the house for two nights in November 2024. The house is cozy, everything is thought out to the minutiae, the kitchen, where there is always fresh fruit, pastries and coffee. There's parking for cars. Room with kitchenette. There is also a ceiling fan and air conditioning. If you wish, you can order breakfast (eggs, fruit salad, yogurt, sausage, cheese, juice...). We liked the neighborhood, too.

We booked at Belmont House quite late and were lucky enough to get a recently refurbished room with a lovely new bathroom. Shower was great, but you have to be careful of the strong pressure. Room was spacious and beds comfortable. Would have been nice if it was made up as a king bed instead of twins, but it was last minute. We chose the optional breakfast which was delivered to our room each morning. It was certainly worth the extra. The room has basic facilities for heating up leftovers or making a nice pot of coffee in the mornings. No TV but WiFi was super fast.

I stayed at Belmont for 5 weeks with my daughter and she is still there.
I cannot recommend a better place to stay in Cape Town. The location is beautiful, safe and the view from the guest house is beautiful, nestled at the foot of Table Mountain.
Craig and Andrew are warm, welcoming, generous hosts ready to help and went out of their way to make us feel at home.
Medlin Patrick and Mweza are dedicated workers, kept our room clean, laundry done and ready to help.
A plus- important one- despite load shedding, wifi worked 24 /7, shower hot and enough lamps to cope with no electricity!!
The guest house is very comfortable, well located, kitchen well equipped and within easy reach of Kloof street and city centre.
I would stay again without hesitation, with family, friends or solo!
Thank you and hope to stay again soon!!

Hi,
Yes, Cape Town can get quite warm in December, but we have a prevailing South Easter that cools us nicely.
Being as close to Table Mountain as we are, it is never too hot.
Just in case, we have ceiling fans that work a treat.
hope this helps
Craig
Hello, yes, we can certainly accommodate an early check out.

Craig
Hi Kenneth,

Best wishes
Craig
