Old and new meet in perfect harmony at The Three Boutique Hotel, with the conversion of this beautiful National Monument building into a stylish and affordable 18 bedroom boutique hotel in the heart of Cape Town. Owned and run by Justin & Natalia Pearson and their close friends Alun & Julie Jones, the service stands out as being exceptional, from the first email, to collection at the airport and looking after you during your Cape Town holiday or business trip. Steeped in hospitality from years of working on cruise ships, Justin and Natalia embody the perfect hosts. The Three Boutique Hotel fills the gap between a too-homely guest house and an impersonal hotel. It's exactly the right balance of chic surroundings, 4-star facilities and friendly service. The Three is modern and sophisticated Cape Town hotel accommodation with an historic heart in a trendy part of Cape Town. It offers free WiFi throughout, air conditioning, spacious bedrooms with flat screen TVs and en-suite bathrooms. A columned terrace tiled in traditional black and white wraps around the house leading to the designer swimming pool and outdoor lounge. The rooftop deck adds another dimension for sunbathing and sunset drinks, with unparalleled views of Cape Town's three iconic mountains: Table Mountain, Lions Head and Devil's Peak, after which The Three is named. Cape Town International Airport is just 17km away and our airport shuttle can be booked to collect you or drop you off. The hotel shuttle is also available throughout the day for personalized tours as well as in the evenings to take you to and from restaurants. Many of Cape Town's top tourist sights are within walking distance and The Gardens shopping center is just a 3 minute walk.

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights mid June. From start to finish our stay was first class. Three Boutiques is a quaint yet fully equipped venue to give a thoroughly enjoyable vacation experience. Homely atmosphere but with all the amenities. Our room on the ground floor was spacious and we had easy access to the roof top terrace with its magnificent panoramic view of Table Mountain and Lions Head Hill. Located in a quiet residential area the hotel is ideally placed for a walk or short ride to the Waterfront. Breakfast was lovely, and all the staff made us feel welcome and relaxed. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend or stay here again when next in Cape Town. Des the manager and her team even arranged to courier my glasses to me which I’d left in the room to my next destination!

This was a cute little hotel in a convenient location. It is not much to look at when pulling up to the gate, but inside it is actually an old 1800s house. The room was comfortable and the view was amazing! There was one day we did not have hot water to shower, but other than that no issues. You can walk downtown to some great restaurants and museums, but we found it easier to Uber most of the time. Alphina was the best host! From breakfast in the morning, to making up our room in the afternoon, and greeting us when we returned in the evening she always seemed to be there! She made our stay feel like home, thank you!

Hi Danielle, thank you so much for taking some time to leave us this amazing review. It is very exciting to hear how much you loved and enjoyed your stay with us, especially the convenience of our location and our delicious breakfast. We have definitely passed your warm compliments to Alphina. However, we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused by the water, it is a serious issue that has been forwarded to management for attention. We wish you many more fun-filled and safe travels. Kind regards, The Three Boutique Hotel Team

We stayed with family and the rooms were very loud due to other guests partying. We did inform the reception but that did not help, they kept waking small children up. Sadly, we had to move out after the first night, the management refused to provide a refund for the second night, but we were offered a credit to be used over the next 6 months.

Hi there, Thank you for your review of your recent stay with us. We are sorry that your neighbours were noisy, we did request they keep the noise down on multiple occasions. Unfortunately, they had an early start as they were preparing for the Cape Town Cycle Tour. We are sorry that offering you a credit towards a stay at any of the other Lion Roars Hotels & Lodges properties was not enough to turn the situation around for you completely, and we hope to welcome you back to a much better experience one day. Take care!

Wonderful stay wonderful staff After a delay with our last flight from Johannesburg we arrived at midnight and greeted with a warm smile and shown to our room. The rooms are very spacious and had a very cosy feel and bed comfy. We enjoyed our breakfasts with a buffet selection of fruits, cereals, yogurts toast etc along with a menu to chose a hot meal. We enjoyed our 4 night stay and would highly recommend. Thank you for a great stay

We loved it here, home away from home. The hotel was comfy and welcoming and we really enjoyed our stay. The room and bathroom decor is lovely and small touches such as a coffee machine, bathroom amenities and the cash bar really make the stay comfortable.

The hotel is away from the town centre in a quiet suburb, and is a small converted colonial house. The rooms were a good size, with all modern amenities and there were excellent views of Table Mountain from the roof terrace. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful, providing a small welcome buffet with champagne, on our arrival. They also provided a packed breakfast for one of our early excursions. Overall a pleasure to stay there.

We spent the night of our wedding day and start of our honeymoon at this amazing hotel. Our reception was absolutely perfect being greeted by friendly staff and escorted to our room where champagne, chocolates and scattered rose petals awaitied us. The breakfasts were great, the pool was refreshing and the rooftop views absolutely spectacular! We Will definitely be returning to this wonderful hotel in the future! Thank you once again! (",)

Hi Susan,
Yes if you contact the hotel prior to arrival they should be able to sort this for you. We arrived at approximately the same time as you expect to and we were allowed to check in straight away. If you have any further questions please don't hesitate to contact me

Hi and thanks for your question.

HI Stewart.
Thanks for your question and congratulations for finally making it to Cape Town!
I will ask Pieter the Manager to do his best to make sure you have a room with a view, failing that there are unobstructed views from the roof terrace.
As far as I know a tourist visa is valid for 3 months and is issued on arrival in SA - as long as you have proof of an outward journey booked within that period - but always best to double check with your agent or an official website.
We look forward to welcoming you to The THREE and if there is anything else you need please don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks and enjoy the QM2,
Justin (Owner)
Hi Dawn,
Thanks for your question and sorry for the late reply.
The shuttle to the airport is R350 total which is about 15 Pounds.
If you book tours they will generally pick you up at the hotel included in the price.
We charge the same as Taxis for local trips (to restaurants, sights etc), - we started to offer the shuttle service to avoid guests getting over charged by local Taxis.
We also offer private day tours if you are interested and don't feel like travelling with a lot of other people, just send an email to reception at thethree co za to enquire (they won't let me put an email address) or if you have any other questions and they will be happy to help.4
Thanks and best regards
Justin (Owner)
